17 Cannot Activate Orders
Error
The following error is displayed when you activate orders:

Invalid Data. Review all error messages below to correct your data.Apex trigger Apttus_QPConfig.OrderTrigger caused an unexpected exception, contact your administrator: Apttus_QPConfig.OrderTrigger: execution of AfterUpdate caused by: Apttus_Billing.SystemUtil.NullValueException: Cannot generate Billing Periods because the Billing Rule, Billing Frequency is Null.: (Apttus_Billing)
Cause
This happens when there is an issue with Billing Rule and Billing Frequency fields.
What to do
Perform the following steps to resolve the error:
- After order activation generates billing schedules, look for the Billing Rule and Billing Frequency fields.
- Set Billing Rule and Billing Frequency on all PLI of products.
- If these are not set, set them on the cart.
- If not, set them on all asset line items before activation of order.

If billing schedules are not required:
- Set Billing Schedules Generation to False.
- Set Initiate Billing On Order Activation to False at Order System Properties.
