Troubleshooting: Data Sync

Reverse Data Sync

A required or extracted field does not sync back to Salesforce. There is no error message or warning.

A misconfiguration produces a communication failure between Advantage Platform and Salesforce.

  1. Collect the agreement ID from the Advantage Platform. This is the hash at the end of the URL.
  2. Open Admin Console > Data Sync
  3. Click Run History.
  4. Paste the agreement ID you gathered in step 1 into the search bar.
  5. Check the Sync Status field for Failure.
  6. If the Sync Status indicates a failure, click the agreement ID hypertext in the Run ID column.
  7. Click Errors to download the error report.
    Your browser receives the JSON-formatted report to open or save.
  8. Review the error report to identify what caused the sync to fail.
    The failure may be due to:
    • A permission issue for the field

    • A Salesforce rule that prevents one or more fields from syncing

    An agreement marked "perpetual" on Salesforce will conflict with a Discovery AI rule that requires that agreements have an end date. If Discovery AI extracts the end date, the sync fails unless some provision is made for extractions from discovery AI to override Salesforce rules.

Pick List Sync Failure

A pick list value on a field is removed in Salesforce but remains on the Advantage Platform and in the corresponding Discovery AI custom provision.

The pick list entity is not synchronized between Salesforce and Advantage Platform.

Remove or edit the pick list value on the Advantage Platform.
