Recommendations:

  • Salesforce Classic is supported with Microsoft Internet Explorer version 9, 10, and 11, and Apple Safari version 11.x on macOS. The most recent stable versions of Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome are also supported. There are some limitations. See Supported Browsers for Salesforce Classic.

  • For the best experience and security, follow these guidelines: Recommendations and requirements for all browsers

  • Some features use iframes to work in Lightning Experience, so you must have the appropriate browser security settings for iframes to load correctly. Follow your browser's instructions to enable working with iframes and third-party cookies. For example: In Internet Explorer, set the Launching programs and files in IFRAME security setting to Enable or Prompt. In Safari, we recommend changing your privacy settings for cookies to Allow from websites I visit. In Chrome, make sure that Block third-party cookies and site data is not selected in the Content settings.

  • The minimum screen resolution required to support all Salesforce features is 1024 x 768. Lower screen resolutions don't always properly display Salesforce features such as Report Builder and Page Layout Editor.

  • For Mac OS users on Apple Safari or Chrome, set the "Show scroll bar" system setting to Always.

  • Some third-party browser plug-ins and extensions can interfere with Chatter. If you experience malfunctions or inconsistent behavior with Chatter, disable the browser's plug-ins and extensions and try again.

  • Mobile:Compatible with Salesforce1 and all mobile browsers when configured following the documentation.

Additional information:

The Conga X-Author for Contracts Microsoft Word add-in is accessed via the Microsoft Word application on your Windows machine. The Conga Contract Management package must be installed in your Salesforce org. Once your system administrator does this, you can install and use the X-Author for Contracts add-in.

New features and technologies for Conga X-Author for Contracts are supported by Conga where the associated Microsoft OS and Microsoft Office versions are still supported by Microsoft. When Microsoft ends its support for any OS or Office version, subsequent new Conga releases are no longer developed, tested, or committed to support that application.

You cannot use a Mac OS X operating system with X-Author for Contracts; however, it can be used with a Mac running a Windows virtual machine in a Citrix environment.

Microsoft's Office 365 Online or Cloud applications do not support plugins; therefore, the Conga X-Author for Contracts can only be used in a Windows desktop environment.

Note:
  • The above MS Office versions assume you are using Professional or Enterprise versions of Office. Home & Student or other limited versions of Office are not supported and may or may not prove to be compatible with X-Author for Contracts.
  • For some playbook features to work, you must install Microsoft Word OS Build 17134.228 update. This update is a part of Windows 1803 build.
