Enhancements
The following enhancements are new to Approvals in this release.
Streamlined Configuration for Sub-Process and Child-Process Steps
Auto Reapproval, Escalation Setup, and Reminder Setup options for Sub-Process and Child-Process steps are now configured through the associated Approval Rule and Rule Entry settings. The Approval Flow Workflow Builder no longer displays these settings at the process step level, helping simplify and standardize configuration.
Approval Consolidation Now Supports Dependency Chains
Approval Consolidation now supports dependency chains between approval steps and rule entries. When multiple products in a cart trigger related approval rules, the system follows the configured approval sequence and activates each approver only after the preceding approval steps are completed.
With this enhancement:
- Dependent approval entries remain in a Waiting state until all prerequisite approvals are completed.
- The system assigns approval requests to approvers only when it is their turn in the approval sequence.
- Auto-approved entries are processed sequentially based on the configured dependency chain.
- Approval statuses accurately reflect the progress of each approval step for both approvers and administrators.
For more information about configuring dependency chains with Approval Consolidation, see Understanding Approval Consolidation.
View Approval Attachments in Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams approval cards now display files attached to approval requests. You can open or download attachments directly from the Teams notification before approving or rejecting the request, eliminating the need to navigate to Conga Approvals to review supporting documents. Attachment links remain available for 7 days from the time the approval notification is generated. For more information, see Reviewing an Approval Request from Microsoft Teams.
Fixed Issues
There are no fixed issues in this release.
Known Issues
The following unresolved issues are known to Conga at the time of this release.
| Conga Internal ID | Description |
|---|---|
| CPQ-107996 | The system does not trigger reminder emails when an approval rule sets Send Email to False during approval submission and an administrator or service hook later changes Send Email to True on the approval request. In the same scenario, the system correctly sends escalation emails, resulting in inconsistent behavior between reminder and escalation notifications. |
