New Features and Enhancements
The following features are new to CLM in this release.
Conga CLM for Microsoft Dynamics - Embedded Experience
The Conga CLM-Microsoft Dynamics 365 integration through Workato allows sales teams to create and view contracts from accounts and opportunities in Microsoft Dynamics 365 without switching systems. Accelerates contract cycle times by eliminating context-switching between systems. Sales and teams can close deals faster with streamlined contract initiation from account and opportunity records, reducing manual data entry errors. It also improves user adoption by keeping teams in their primary workflow environment while accessing enterprise CLM capabilities. For more information see, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Integration with Conga CLM in CLM for Advantage Platform admin guide.
Activity History for Assigned Approvers
Display activity history entries for approval requests assigned to approvers, providing visibility into approval actions and status changes. For more information, see View Activity History and Filter Activity History topics.
Policy-based Access Control
Conga CLM now supports implementing a unified access control based on attributes. Administrators can centrally define and manage reusable common attributes (such as Contract Group, and Account Group) and link them to contracts and master data. These attributes work with existing RBAC permissions to control who can see and act on specific contracts and records, improving data protection while preserving current behavior. By combining functional permissions with data-level security, this enhancement enables granular access control, reduces the risk of unauthorized data exposure, and simplifies administration through centralized, reusable attribute management without disrupting existing customer configurations. For more information, see Common Attributes under Admin Console in CLM for Advantage Platform admin guide.
Enhanced Workflow Accountability and Review Capabilities
Workflows are enhanced to support accountability and guided contracting in Conga CLM. Simple interactive activity is introduced to allows administrators to configure customizable actions such as If-Else logic or decision-tree pathways. Administrators can assign workflow activities to specific users, roles, or groups, ensuring clear ownership and controlled participation at each step. Assigned users receive targeted notifications, and activity ownership is visible directly on workflow chevrons for easy tracking. Administrators can add contextual notes to workflow stages or steps to guide users and reduce errors. For more information, see Use Case: Workflow with Interactive Decision Activity topic under Workflow topic in CLM for Advantage Platform admin guide.
A new Send for Review activity formalizes document review within the workflow, allowing users to collaborate via Microsoft 365 or email in a structured and traceable way. For more information, see Use Case: Workflow for Send for Review Activity topic under Workflow topic in CLM for Advantage Platform admin guide.
