This documentation may describe optional enhancements for which you have not purchased a license; therefore your solution or implementation may differ from what is described here. Contact your customer success manager (CSM) or account executive (AE) to discuss your specific enhancements and licensing.

Enhancements

The following enhancements are new to CLM in this release.

Contract Group Field Handling for Multiple Contract Request Bundles

The Contract Group field is now available for configuration in the out-of-the-box create popup for multiple contract request bundles. Administrators must add the Contract Group field to the create popup to ensure multiple contracts work seamlessly. When the Contract Group is included in the create popup, the selected value is automatically synchronized across all requests in the bundle, enabling consistent contract group assignment without manual updates to each request individually.

Administrators can synchronize the Contract Group across all requests in a bundle by including the field in the create popup or allow individual management from each request's Basic page by omitting it. If no value is selected, the field is set to NULL, and custom layouts must explicitly include the Contract Group field to enable bundle-wide synchronization. For more information, see Creating a Contract Request.

Intent-based Validation for Contract Request Bundles

The Contract Request Create API validates that all contract request types within a bundle share a consistent intent, as defined in the Contract Type Properties configuration. The primary request type determines mandatory fields, such as Account for sell-side and Supplier for buy-side, and filters additional request types based on the primary intent; contract types without a defined intent are ignored in this validation. For more information, see Conga Developer Portal.

The Edit Record screen includes a sticky footer that keeps the Save and Cancel buttons visible, ensuring a consistent and user-friendly experience. For more information, see Editing One or More Contracts.

Restrictions on Terminal Status Fulfillments

Users cannot edit fulfilments that are in any terminal status, including FulfilledOnTime, FulfilledLate, Rejected, Waived, Superseded, and Canceled, across both the old and new user interfaces. This update prevents modifications to completed fulfilments, supporting data integrity and maintaining an accurate audit trail. For more information, see Obligation Fulfillment Lifecycle.

PDF/A Format Option Removal from Template Selection Page

The enhancement enables customers to deprecate (hide) specific document format values, ensuring that only desired formats are displayed based on their configuration. For more information, see Document Format Setup.

Multiple Contract Request: Enforce Consistent Intent Type Selection

Restrict selection of sell-side and buy-side record types within a single multiple contract request to prevent field mismatches. The system now displays only compatible record types and shows the appropriate Account or Supplier field based on the selected sell-side or buy-side intent types. For more information, see Creating a Contract Request.

Incoming Requests Display for Approved Contract Requests

Incoming Requests now retain approved contract requests that require contract manager action, allowing contract managers to review, approve, or reject these requests directly from the Incoming Requests menu. Requests that are auto-converted are removed from Incoming Requests, while those needing contract manager intervention remain until processed. Only contract managers can view these approved requests in Incoming Requests, and after approval, requests move to All Requests with status retained as Approved. For more information, see Contract Requests.

Role-Based Access Control for Left-Side Menu Items in Conga Next UI

RBAC controls the visibility of menu items in the modern UI. For more information, see Roles and Permission Groups.

Document Upload Section in Contract Request Wizard

Administrators can now configure the document upload capability as a section in the Contract Request Wizard, instead of it being a separate step. This provides flexibility to reduce the number of steps in the wizard by combining the document upload with other sections in the same step. The section supports its own wizard rules and allows users to drag and drop or browse multiple files (supported formats: .doc, .docx, .pdf, .png, .rtf, and .txt, up to 10 MB each). Users can view, download, or open the uploaded documents from the Summary section, and the Documents tab on the contract details page. For more information, see Creating a Contract Request.

Team Role Management Restrictions

Administrators cannot edit or delete the out-of-the-box Signer and Reviewer team roles. However, they can deactivate these roles. Administrators can edit and delete only custom team roles. For more information, see Team Roles.
