Enhancements
The following enhancements are new to Composer in this release.
Queue Operation Cancellation Handling in QueueServiceController
The system now logs cancellation requests initiated by users through the DELETE API endpoint to Status Service, which evicts the corresponding queue operation from cache but does not remove the message from the queue. When a worker later processes the stale queue message, it may not find the operation in cache, resulting in an error and potential delays in processing valid merges under high cancellation volume.
Activity Log Feature Flag
Introduce a feature flag to control access to the activity log for consumers of the merge engine. Administrators can enable or disable the activity log functionality as needed.
Link Tracking Exception Activity Logging
Composer for Platform now records structured activity log events for document-link registration errors returned, including authentication, network, timeout, and repository failures. Activity logs preserve key metadata such as expiration details, signature validation results, and database error information, and support CorrelationId tracing for improved traceability.
Activity Log Events for Post-Merge Processing
Structured activity log events now capture key actions during post-merge processing, including document delivery, storage operations, Salesforce updates, and workflow completion. Each event records details such as event name, timestamp, correlation ID, transaction ID, delivery method, destination, record identifiers, provider information, and error messages, enabling complete lifecycle tracing and improved operational visibility. All post-merge events, including failures, are logged in the ActivityLog, supporting both successful and failed scenarios without altering existing behavior.
