Enhancements

The following enhancements are new to Contracts for Salesforce in this release.

Is Standard (With Replacement) Flag for Clause Replacement

Contracts for Salesforce now has an “Is Standard (With Replacement)” flag in the Details tab of a clause to indicate when a clause remains standard after being replaced with another standard or alternate clause from the clause library. This flag remains true for replacements but is set to false if the clause is directly edited, supporting accurate tracking of clause status for administrators and contract managers. Existing “Is Standard” behavior remains unchanged to avoid impact on current data and processes.

Reviewer List Updates on Microsoft 365 Review Cycles Page

Contracts for Salesforce now display only users and contacts who are not approvers in the reviewer list when starting a review in Microsoft 365.

Clause Modification Report

The Clause Modification Report displays managed clause modifications across contracts, including details such as the type of modification, source of replacement, and count of replacements. The report provides columns for original and replaced clause names and descriptions, modification type, modification count with version history drill-down, and user and date information for each change. Administrators can use this report to identify negotiation patterns, assess fallback clause usage, and determine if frequently modified clauses should be promoted to standard. For more information, see the Reports section in What’s in the Contracts for Salesforce Package?

Managed Clause Replacement Behavior in Negotiation

Contracts for Salesforce now updates clause status fields when clauses are replaced or edited during negotiation, reflecting accurate values for Is Standard, Is Standard (With Replacement), Replaced Clause, isReplaced, Replaced By, Reason For Change, and Is Replace With Alternate Clause based on the type of replacement or edit. No changes occur to the behavior of Is Standard, Managed Clause Name, or Clause Configuration fields during these actions.

Managed Clause Field Tooltips

Display tooltips for the new fields on Managed Clause and Managed Clause Revision objects: "Is Standard" indicates if the clause remains unchanged from the clause library, "Is Standard (with Replacement)" indicates if the clause is considered standard after replacement, and "Reason For Change" displays the most recent reason for modification or replacement. Existing fields continue to function as before, and these tooltips provide additional context for contract managers reviewing clause modifications.
