System Requirements and Supported Platforms
For requirements and recommendations to consider before installing the Conga product suite, see the System Requirements and Supported Platforms Matrix.
New Features and Enhancements
The following features are new to CPQ in this release.
Set Maximum Product Details Per Request by Flow
You can now configure the “Maximum Product Details Per Request” value based on each flow. The system uses the default value from Config System Properties if not set for a specific flow. This helps improve performance based on the product setup in each flow.
For more information, see 'Config System Properties' topic.
Improved Cart UI Layout with Contextual Totals
When the contextual totals feature is enabled, the cart now correctly renders without an unnecessary gap between the cart items and the totals summary section. This ensures a more visually consistent user interface.
For more information, see 'Working with Cart Page' topic.
Improved Handling of Inactive Users and Opted-Out Orgs in PU Assist
When the Salesforce user who originally registered the org for the upgrade program was inactive and the org had opted out of the Admin Portal, PU Assist now displays a loading spinner when trying to access it.
The following behavioral enhancements are introduced to the PU Assist:
- If the original registering user is inactive and the org is opted out, the org will now be automatically re-registered to prevent UI blocking.
- In all other cases where the user is inactive, a Re-Register button is displayed. The interface shows the existing data but disables further actions until re-registration is completed.
For more information, see the ‘Push Upgrade Assist’ topic.
Granular Permission Controls Added to CPQ Admin Pages
To improve data security and access control within Salesforce CPQ Admin, new permission settings are introduced with more granular permission settings in this release for the following pages. This update ensures that different user roles can access only the necessary data to protect sensitive information on Angular pages that do not support standard permission set restrictions. This update ensures that only authorized users can manage critical CPQ data while maintaining visibility where needed.
- Pricing Page: Managed currencies, Formula Fields.
- Product page: Details, Association, and Attributes.
- Manage Product page: Structure
- Manage Option Groups page: Details, Associating a Product, and Associating a Price List.
- Manage Catalog page: Details, Associating a Product, and Associating a Price List.
For more information, see ‘About Permission Sets’ topic.
Automatic Proposal Page Refresh after Reverse Sync
In this release, when the finalization sync on the quote header is completed, the respective Salesforce record is automatically refreshed. This presents the most current information to the CPQ users without requiring additional manual actions.
Previously, the proposal page did not automatically refresh after the reverse sync process completed and the loading indicator closed, requiring users to manually reload the page to view the updated data.
For more information, see 'Finalizing Quotes' topic.
Displaying Golden Test Suite Results in PU Assist UI
In this release, the PU Assist now displays the results of the Golden Test Suite directly in the user interface after completing the automatic execution. Therefore, administrators can click on the provided URL to view the detailed execution results. The link navigates to the report page under the ‘Instant Upgrade’ tab, allowing users to easily access and review the test suite outcomes after the upgrade.
Automatic Addition of Required Options After Revalidation
CPQ now automatically adds required or default options to the cart after performing a revalidation, even when the option group is hidden. This keeps the bundle complete when options change through bundle maintenance.
View Attribute API Name on Hover in CPQ Admin
You can now see the unique API name of an attribute by hovering over it, both within an attribute group and in the right-hand search section when adding attributes. This helps distinguish between attributes with the same label.
For more information, see ‘Associating Attribute Groups to a Product’ topic.
Improved Input Restrictions for Numeric Attribute Fields
Numeric attribute fields (Number, Currency, and Percentage) now apply input limits based on defined length and precision, preventing the entry of values beyond the allowed range. You can view the valid format by hovering over the help icon.
For more information, see ‘Configuring Products from the Catalog’ topic.
Support for Displaying Deal Guidance Images on Quote Header
The quote header section now supports an image field, enabling CPQ users to add visual elements for quicker review and improved usability on the cart page. This enhancement allows CPQ users to display cart-level deal guidance in the form of an image on the quote header. Although native cart-level deal guidance functionality is not available, this feature enables similar outcomes using a custom logic.
To achieve this, you must perform the following.
- Add Total target guidance API (Total_Target_Guidance__c) in the Object Summary Settings.
- Create a static resource to store the required media file (Image).
- Create a Total Target Guidance custom field on the Quote/Proposal object and pass the image file in the formula text using the desired syntax.
Upon configuring required settings, when you navigate to the cart page from the proposal details page, the cart header details window includes an image reference next to the Total Target Guidance field.
Introducing Cascade Benefits for Bundles option in Promotions
A new radio button, Cascade Benefits For Bundles, is now available on the Information screen for all promotion types. When selected Yes, it automatically applies the promotion to all options and sub-bundles of a parent bundle without manually adding them to the Benefits section.
For more information, see ‘Defining the Information of a Promotion’ topic.
