New Features and Enhancements
The following features are new to Digital Commerce in this release.
New Feature: Enabling Tax Calculation
Sales tax is calculated on demand when users click Calculate Tax on the cart and checkout pages. The system calculates tax based on the shipping address, product details, prices, and tax categories, and displays only the tax amount, which is included in the total price. Tax does not recalculate automatically when cart contents or address changes and remains unchanged after order creation.
This feature is available to guest users during checkout via integration with Avalara tax engine APIs.
