New Features and Enhancements
The following feature is new to Merge Service in this release.
Enhanced Authentication Support for Salesforce Integration
Replaced direct Salesforce session ID usage with OAuth-based authentication in the Merge Service.
The service now supports three authentication methods to improve flexibility and security:
- Username/Password Authentication – Uses Salesforce login to generate a session ID and server URL, which are then applied to the session header.
- JWT Authentication – When the IsJWTFlow flag is set to true, the service generates a JWT token, retrieves the access token and instance URL, validates the request using HMAC (via signature and timestamp parameters), and configures the session header.
- Session ID Authentication – As a fallback, if no other method applies, an existing Salesforce session ID can still be used to establish the session header.
