Structuring Email Addresses for Conga Sign Between Environments

Enable users to effectively manage email addresses for accessing multiple Conga Sign accounts within the same environment type by using email aliases or SSO.

A single email address can't be used for two different Conga Sign accounts of the same environment type (NA production, NA sandbox, EU production, etc). If you need to use the same email across multiple accounts, you can use an email alias. For example, and email like john.smith@example.com can use an alias like john.smith+1@example.com.
Note: Some email providers, such as Yahoo, do not support the use of alias emails. This works best with an Outlook or Gmail email account. It is recommended to test this with your own email.
For sub-accounts, you can use the same email to access multiple accounts by enabling SSO access through a parent account. You can navigate through the root menu to reach the desired sub-account.
Important: Email Aliasing is intended for use with testing environments. It is not recommended to use alias email accounts within production environments.

Examples of this Use Case:

Using Email Alias for Multiple Accounts

Scenario: John Smith wants to use his email john.smith@example.com to register a second Conga Sign account.

  1. John confirms he uses Gmail as his email provider.

  2. He creates an alias email, john.smith+business@example.com

  3. He registers the alias with the second Conga Sign account.

  4. He verifies he can access both accounts without conflict.

SSO Configuration for Sub-Accounts

Scenario: An organization with a parent Conga Sign account wants users to access multiple sub-accounts without creating multiple user IDs.

  1. The IT Administrator sets up Single Sign On within the parent account.

  2. Users log in to the parent account using their email.

  3. Once logged in, users use the root menu to navigate to the desired sub-account.

Encountering Aliasing Limitation

Scenario: Emma uses Yahoo email and wants to access two Conga Sign accounts for different projects.

  1. Emma discovers that Yahoo does not support aliasing.

  2. She decides to set up a new email account with Gmail to manage aliases efficiently.

  3. She uses the new Gmail address to create aliases for the second Conga account.
