The products (SI/SP) prices and discounts can be set-up directly in CPQ as explained in the chapters above. In addition, it is possible to retrieve the prices and benchmarks from Price Optimizer module (of the PPPS solution) or from RTPE.

When the PROS pricing method is activated, all access to pricing CPEs (CPE.wks/SI/mySI.PM/pmDefault.Range[X].value) and getPrice() calls for SI and SP will be resolved by calling the PPSS or RTPE server.

Additionally, for non-numeric values, Elements CPEs are also available:

CPE.wks/SI/mySI.PM/pmDefault.Segment.value

Configuration Process sales method and pricing method are still computed on CPQ side but can leverage prices of SI and SP coming from PPSS or RTPE (e.g. when using a complete matching sales breakdown line)
