When integrating Smart CPQ with PPSS or RTPE, a parameter dictates which integration is performed.

A parameter in cameleon.properties will decide on what system Smart CPQ is integrated with. Please refer to the Administration guide for more details.

PPSS BACKEND SETUP

To setup the access to Price Optimizer from CPQ Designer, please follow the steps below in CPQ:

• Add a new process in modelingProcesses.xml to create new role for Price Management

  PriceManagement

• Update cameleon.properties, and specifically the integration.pros.pricing.url to link the PPSS instance with the CPQ Designer.

For more details on this step, please refer to the Smart CPQ Administration Guide.

• Add a https connector in standalone-cameleon.xml under "urn:jboss:domain:web:1.4” subsystem
• Comment out the http connector
• Add a https connector

• Import PPSS certificate to CPQ truststore
• keytool -v -list -keystore $cpqKeyStore -storepass $cpqKeyStorePasswd -alias

• keytool -importcert -noprompt -file <certificatefolder>/ppss.cer -keystore

  $cpqKeyStore -storepass

• $cpqKeyStorePasswd -alias 127.0.0.1"
• $cpqKeyStore – can be the same as used in https connector in standalonecameleon.xml$cpqKeyStorePasswd – keystore password
• Add truststore to CPQ system properties
• Update JAVA_OPTS in <cpq-install>/jboss/bin/standalone.conf
• Copy ppssAuthToken.xml to <cpq-install>/conf folder
• This token file has been generated in the previous chapter
• Copy ppss.pbk to <cpq-install>/conf folder

RTPE BACKEND SETUP

In the case of a RTPE integration only a few properties need to be parametrized in cameleon.properties. See the Administration guide for more details.

DESIGNER ACTIVATION

The Pricing Management is a section of the Dashboard. Accessing this section should be made possible by an Administrator of CPQ Designer by activating the rights on the role corresponding to each user.

• In the Workgroup administration menu, go in the Role tab
• Select the role for which you want to activate the access to the Pricing Management menus
• Check the Updatable / Create / Delete checkbox to activate the possible actions on these menus in CPQ Designer
• Save
