When a PROS quote is under approval in Salesforce (Approval Process), it is locked on the Salesforce side, but it is not locked on the CPQ side. Because of this, you may see discrepancies between the locked quote under approval in Salesforce and the quote in CPQ. To avoid these differences, Managed Package is able inform Smart CPQ that the quote is locked in Salesforce and prevent changes to the quote in CPQ by making the quote read-only. A CPQ quote opened in read-only mode cannot be changed or updated: No price calculations are performed, no items can be added or removed, configurations cannot be opened and saved, etc. This is best practice and ensures that the CPQ data and Salesforce data remain coherent once an Approval Process is triggered.

To enable the Managed Package to send the read-only information to Smart CPQ, you must enable the "Enable record locking and unlocking in Apex" property in "Process Automation Settings".
