"Envelope" Error Message

After the installation of the managed package, you may face the following message when trying to access the PROS quote through the Content tab:

“CPQ is temporarily down for maintenance. Please try again later. Web service callout failed: Unexpected element. Parser was expecting element 'http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/:Envelope' but found ':html' “

Here are the three main points to control to fix this issue: Check the CPQ URL in the custom settings

  • Click on Setup
  • Click on Develop in “App Setup”
  • Click on Custom Settings

Check that the URL of the CPQ server corresponds to your server:



Check the remote site settings

In order to create a new Remote Site in Salesforce, log on as an administrator and navigate as follows:

  • Click on Administration Setup
  • Click on Security Controls in “Administration Setup”
  • Click on Remote Site Settings

Check that the remote site URL corresponds to your server for the “CameleonCPQ” line:



Check your credentials

  • Click on Setup
  • Click on Develop in “App Setup”
  • Click on Custom Settings

Check that the CPQ password you provided in your custom settings is correct:



Update APEX classes Mapping IN and Debug

The local/custom Apex class used as the or is no more visible from the managed package unless its visibility is extended from public to global.

The solution is therefore not on managed package side (no patch will be issued), but on implementation side : If any or is set in the custom settings, the Apex class must be modified to comply with the new API level of CPQRequestFormatter class.

What needs to be modified?

At the time being, the custom Mapping IN Apex class probably looks like the following:



After installing the Patch 8.12.3, the class should look like this :
