Reviewing Extracted Templates
- Log in to X-Author for Contracts Advanced. This must be using the same Advantage Platform Org where you uploaded your template for processing.
- Click Start > Open Templates.
- Select a template to review. Use the filter icon to narrow down results. For example, you can search by Stage and select Ready for Review to only view templates that are ready for you to review. When you expand the arrow next to the template name, you can view Guidance and click the View Versions button. Note: Templates in the "Error" stage will have a red icon indicating the error. Click on the red icon to view a description of the error.
- Click the document name to open the document.
- Click the arrow next to the Clauses tab and select Import AI Extraction Results. A green confirmation message appears to inform you extractions is complete.
- Click the Fields tab to view field extractions. Your extracted fields been sorted into the Found and Missing sub-tabs. Once you expand any of the fields, you can field additional information such as Type, Path, and Value.

Found: These are fields that have been successfully identified and marked in the document based on the AI processing. In the Found tab, you have the options to Re-Mark or Unmark. Unmarking removes the field from the Found sub-tab and does not move it to the Missing sub-tab.

Missing: These are fields that have not been marked in the document based on the AI processing. To mark this text in the document, highlight the associated text in the document, then under the Missing tab, click the More icon next to the associated extraction and select Mark Field. The marked field will then display under the Found tab. If you unmark the field, it will return to the Missing tab
Note: You can make these fields Smart or Read-Only. You can also insert fields. -
- Click the Clauses tab to view clause extractions. Your extracted clauses been sorted into the Found and Missing sub-tabs. Clauses can have an additional green icon to indicate if they are a Clause Library clause.
Found: These are clauses that have been successfully identified and marked in the document based on AI processing. In the Found tab, you have the options to Unmark or Delete. Unmarking removes the clause from the Found sub-tab and does not move it to the Missing sub-tab. Unmarking removes the content control around the content, and Deleting deletes the content completely.
Missing: These are clauses that have not been marked in the document based on the AI processing. To mark this text in the document, highlight the associated text in the document, then under the Missing tab, click Mark Clause next to the clause you want to mark. The marked clause will then display under the Found tab. You now have the options (displayed as icons) to Promote to Library and Mark Alternate. You can also Re-Mark non-CLause Library clauses. If you Unmark the clause, it will return to the Missing tab.
Note: You can make these clauses Smart or Read-Only. You can also set Conditions for your clause. - After your review of all extracted fields and clauses are complete, click the Finish tab.
- Review the clauses and field summary and click Next to proceed.
- Enable the Create Template & Clauses checkbox to create the final template and associated clauses. After confirmation, the draft template becomes non-editable.
- Disable the Create Template & Clauses checkbox to save the template as a new work-in-progress draft version. The system preserves all markup, keeps the status as Ready for Review, and allows additional check-ins for continued editing.
- Click Check In to update the template.
