Uploading a Template

As a template admin, you can bulk upload Microsoft Word legal templates into the System, allowing automated processing for clause identification and field extraction.

You must have the CLMXA_EnableAIBasedTemplateClauseBuilder feature enabled for your organization.
  1. In Conga Advantage Platform, navigate to Shared Apps > Conga Drive.
  2. Click Conga Templates.
  3. Click New Template.
  4. In the Select Files popup, either drag and drop of browse for your template file.
    Note: The supported file type is .docx and and the maximum file size is 100 MB.
    Note: You can select and upload up to a maximum of 10 Microsoft Word template files in a single operation.
  5. Once you have selected a template, a grid with further options appears in the Select Files popup. In this grid you can change the file name, and select a Contract Type.
    Note: Both Template Name and Contract Type are required fields.
  6. Once you have entered all required details and changes, click Save and Submit for AI Processing. A green confirmation message appears informing you that your template(s) were submitted for AI processing and you will receive a confirmation email when processing is complete.
After submitting your template for AI processing, you can check the processing status in the Stage column.

Processing AI is actively extracting clauses and fields.
Ready for ReviewExtraction is complete; the template is available for review in X-Author for Contracts Advanced.
Published Review is complete and the template has been checked in.
ErrorProcessing encountered an issue. Click the red error icon to view a description.
Note: Click the Advanced Filter icon next to the search bar to filter each column by your selected criteria. For example, you can use the Advanced filter to search for all templates in the Ready for Review stage with the following criteria:
  • Field: Stage

  • Operator: Equals

  • Value: Ready for Review
