Connect to CRM
You can connect X-Author for Contracts Advanced to a Salesforce or Conga Platform Org based using the X-Author Connect to CRM feature. X-Author for Contracts Advanced for Salesforce customers only have access to this feature if they have purchased an additional AI package and have been provisioned with Conga for Advantage Platform Admin access.
Note: After performing this action, you must login to the application again.
- In the Conga Advantage Platform Admin Console, click the Switch Apps icon in the upper left and click Contract Apps.
- Click the CLM Admin icon on the left menu.
- Under CLM ADMIN SETUP, click X-Author Configuration Settings.
- Under X-Author Connect to CRM, select either Advantage Platform or Salesforce from the dropdown menu.
Option Description Advantage Platform When you select this option, you connect X-Author for Contracts Advanced to the Conga Advantage Platform. Your data in the Conga Advantage Platform is synced into your X-Author for Contracts Advanced application. Additionally, here you can enable or disable features like Auto Enable PDF for Final Docs. Salesforce When you select this option, you connect X-Author for Contracts Advanced to your Salesforce Org. Your data in your Salesforce Org is synced into your X-Author for Contracts Advanced application. - Click Save.
To view which platform you are currently synced to within the X-Author for Contracts Advanced application, navigate to Under Connected to CRM, you will see either Advantage Platform or Salesforce.
If auto-provisioning is enabled and a non-onboarded user has Configuration permission, the system will connect to either Salesforce or Conga Advantage Platform based on the selected Connect to CRM option. If a user does not have Configuration permission, the system will always connect to Salesforce. If auto-provisioning is disabled, non-onboarded users will be unable to log in.
