New Features and Enhancements

The following features are new to Conga Contract Lifecycle Management in this release.

Id Fields for Lookup Object Records for Bulk Import

Id fields are now supported for lookup object records, instead of the Name fields. This means the bulk import templates include .Id and .Name fields for lookup.

User Role-based Display of Contract Creation Options

Users are shown one or more contract creation options from the following, based on the permission groups linked to their user records in the system.

  • Fill out a contract form
  • Import a document
    • By import documents
    • By store executed contract
  • Intelligent Document Import

Quick Contract Creation with Default Values

Administrators can configure the system to allow the users to create contracts quickly, without selecting contract creation options or filling in the contract details.

User-friendly Information Display for Contract Relationship

When linking contracts, a message is displayed to users showing the relationship that will be established between the two contracts. After the contracts are linked, the Relationships table reflects the relationship between the current contract and the linked contract.

Document Generation Workflow

Using the Document Generation workflow activity, administrators can manually or automatically generate and manage contract documents according to specified criteria.

Application Manager: Hide and Display Related Apps in Contract Apps

Using the Application Manager module in the Admin Console, administrators can create, manage, and customize apps and app groups, associate apps with the app groups, and control their visibility and placement based on user profiles.

Restricting Editing of Activated Contracts

Administrators can enable the “Restrict Editing after Activation” setting to prevent users from editing any contract records and their amended or renewed records once the contract is activated. By default, this setting is turned off, allowing users to edit contract records and their amendments or renewals.
