New Features
The following features are new to Conga CPQ on Conga Platform in this release.
New Features in Revenue Admin UI
- Configure column settings, action settings, cart views
- Manage attributes and attribute groups
- Manage product attribute rules (PAR)

View Cart in Read-Only Mode on UI
In this release, CPQ allows you to launch the cart in read-only mode to review products and cart lines even though the cart status is in the Pending for approval etc.
Launch Cart with Advanced Approval Parameters
In this release, CPQ allows you to launch the cart with Advanced Approval parameters. If the skipApprovalCheck parameter is set to true, CPQ skips the approval process.
Ability to Modify or Delete Cart Views on UI
In this release, you can manage custom views on the cart page. It enables you to modify or delete the cart view based on your requirement.
Support for Search, Browse, Publish, and Delete Favorites on the Catalog UI
In this release, you can retrieve and display the favourites for a price list item based on your requirement and the retrieved favorite can then be used for a different quote if required on the Conga platform Admin UI.
Support for view Summary Group Information on Cart UI
You can view summary groups created based on the Category, Product Fields, or Line Item Fields. This allows you to review cart pricing at a specific group level.
Viewing the Recommended Products on Cart UI
While adding products to the cart, you can view recommended products on the cart UI. This allows you to review the other products and add them to the cart. In the product catalog, you can see the list of products that a vendor offers. When the customer selects a product, you can display the list of recommended products on the same page and enable the upsell opportunity. To access this feature, you must enable the Show Recommended Products Cart View in the Cart Page settings.
Support for Adding Favorites to the Cart from Catalog
You can add products that were saved as a favorite to the cart from Catalog. This allows you to create quotes quickly as the products were already configured.
Ability to Clone the Quote with Line Items
In this release, a new feature Deep Clone has been introduced to clone the quote with all line items, summary Groups, and configurations. This allows you to create a quote quickly as you do not need to configure the products in the quote. You can perform the deep clone where the configuration status is in the Saved or Finalized.
To deep clone the quote:
- Open the saved or finalized cart. A cart page is displayed with the line items.
- Click the dropdown next to the Change Record Type > click Deep Clone (RLS).
Ability to Send the Cart for Approval
In this release, CPQ allows you to submit the cart or a line item to the management for final approval. To use this feature, you have to set up the workflow process to trigger approval to see Submit for Approval button become available. You can set an approval request on the line item, Cart, or both with attachments. After the approval request is triggered, the approvers can approve or reject a request based on the process that has been configured.
- Currently, you can only submit Cart and line item level approvals.
To enable the approval process, set the skipApprovalCheck to True.
Enhancements
This section describes the existing features that are changed in this release.
Removed Non-Supported Settings from Global Settings
In this release, all non-supported settings are removed from Global Settings.
Removed Advanced Search
In this release, advanced search is removed from the following pages on the UI:
Option Group: Association of products and price lists
Catalog: Association of products and price lists
Products: Association of Categories and price lists
Flow Settings
Product > Price List > PLI listing
Pricelist > PLI listing
Support for Adding Favourites to the Cart
In this release, you can use a saved configuration to add products to the cart and also save an already configured cart and use the same configuration multiple times. These configurations are saved using Save as Favorite feature. Favorite configuration enhances the product configuration and quoting process by allowing users to create, share, and import favorite configurations or designs. The saved configuration also includes the products added through constraint rules and default options that are auto-included. You can add a favorite to the cart the same as any other product from the catalog. You can add multiple saved configurations to the cart.
Enhancements to the Search filters
In this release, the following enhancements have been introduced to the search filters.
- While searching the product with All Categories, CPQ displays only the filters associated with the specific category.
- While using search filters in the catalog to retrieve one or more products, you can now fetch the category that has products.
- While using search filters in the catalog to retrieve categories, you can now retrieve only top-level categories using the API. You can define the level of category by using the depth parameter. For example, depth=0 indicates the root category.
- While searching for a product, you can now use location in the filter criteria and retrieve the products. This allows you to find the products and add products that are applicable to the locations you want to sell.
Enhancement to the Visibility Rules while Searching Categories
While retrieving the list of categories, if the parent category is hidden through the visibility rule then all child categories will also be hidden and not available in the search. So, the invalid categories are not displayed in the search filter.
Enhancement to the Cart Mass Update
You can update up to 500 line items in single action on Cart UI. You can manually select line items to mass update or select them using Advanced Filter on the Cart page.
Enhancement to the Finalizing Cart
In this release, you can mark the cart as Finalized by which the system can copy the line item details to the proposal lines and set the cart status as Finalized. if there is any existing finalized cart for the same business object id then the system marks the previously finalized cart as Superseded while finalizing the new cart.
