Enhancements

Following are the enhancements introduced in this release:

Mandatory Configuration while Migrating Large Attachments to Files

You must set the APTS_SkipFileSplitWhileSavingFile admin entry to true when all of the following conditions are met. 

  • You are upgrading to Spring '21 or a later version of CLM.
  • You are migrating Attachments that are greater than 10 MB in size to Files.

Ability to Configure PDF/A as a Document Output Format

PDF/A is an ISO-standardized version of the Portable Document Format specialized for use in the archiving and long-term preservation of electronic documents. You can use CLM to generate, regenerate, or generate supporting documents in PDF/A format. 

If you upgrade to Summer'21 and need to use PDF/A format to generate, regenerate, or generate supporting documents, you must manually configure PDF/A format. If you are installing CLM for the first time, no new configuration is required. 

Ability to Configure Email Notifications for Review Cycle Cancellation

An administrator can edit the Parallel Review Cycle Cancel Notification email template for the review cycle cancellation notifications according to the requirement. If the administrator deletes the Parallel Review Cycle Cancel Notification template, the reviewers do not receive the review cancelation email.

Enhanced User Experience of the Clauses Tab 

You can see the revamped Clauses tab and the following popups when you review an agreement document created or imported by the intelligent discovery in Lightning. 

  • Add Clause
  • Edit Clause
  • Delete Clause

Enhanced User Experience of Send for Review and Send for Parallel Review Pages (Pilot Version)

You can see the new updated pages and options when you send documents for review or parallel review. To use the new UI, you must configure the Send For Review Custom button.

Ability to Send Multiple Documents for Parallel Review

You can send multiple DOCX documents for parallel review and all the reviewers can reply to the review email with reviewed documents. The combined file size of reviewed documents can be 25 MB. The review cycle does not end if the file size of reviewed documents exceeds 25 MB or more than three reviewers send 25 MB reviewed documents simultaneously.

Ability to Send Related Agreements for Parallel Review

You can send related agreement documents for parallel review along with primary agreement documents.

When the Parallel Review for related agreements and Parallel Review comply system properties are enabled and you send a related agreement for review, a review cycle is created for the related agreement.

When the Parallel Review for related agreements and Parallel Review comply system properties are disabled and you send a related agreement for review, a review cycle is not created and the related agreement documents are considered as supporting documents.

The parallel review does not impact the status and status category of the related agreement documents. 

Ability to Filter Related Agreements Based on Primary Agreement Status and Status Category

The Filter By The Primary Agreement Status comply system property allows you to filter agreements (Related/Sibling/Parent/Child) by Status Category or Status of the primary agreement.

When the property is enabled and you send a document for review, you can see only the agreement documents (Related/Sibling/Parent/Child) that have the same Status Category or Status as the primary agreement. When the property is disabled and you send a document for review, you can see all the agreement documents (Related/Sibling/Parent/Child) irrespective of the primary agreement Status Category or Status.

Enhanced Character Limit for End Review Comments

You can add a maximum of 32k characters when you end the parallel review from the Review Cycle page or reply to the parallel review email.

Ability to Add Subtype While Creating an Agreement

Administrators can add the Subtype dropdown from the Agreement New Field Set. After adding the Subtype field in the fieldset, the field will be available while creating an agreement.

Increased Clause Character Limit

The character limit of clauses is increased from 32k characters to 55k characters (including redlines and clause text). You can generate or regenerate agreement documents with clause templates containing 55k characters. 

Increased Spacing on Wizard UI

The spacing between fields is increased for a better user experience.

Ability to Add Multiple Contacts to a Review Cycle

When a review cycle is in progress, you can add multiple contacts, users, or email addresses at a time when you click Add Reviewer.

Ability to Turn On the Use Intelligent Discovery Toggle Button by Default

When the Intelligent Import for Signed Document comply system property is enabled, the Use Intelligent Discovery is turned on by default.

Ability to Configure File Size Column

You can configure the File Size column to be visible on the Activation, Send for Review, Send for Signatures, or Send for eSignatures pages. If you need to populate the File Size field for existing data, you need to run a script.

Ability to Automatically Generate the Smart Search Registration Setting for Smart Search

You can automatically generate the smart search registration setting and start working with the smart search. If you encounter any issues, you can manually add registration setting details.

Ability to Configure Smart Search as a Chatbot

You can use the smart search with Slack, MS Teams, and Webchat.

Enhancements to Smart Search

The following enhancements are new to Smart Search in this release:

  • When you launch Smart Search, you can see an explanation of different types of search operations that you can perform using Smart Search.
  • You can sort the columns in ascending or descending order by clicking the column headers on the search grid. 
  • You can use smart search for payment term queries.
  • You can use boolean expression search and regular expression search for file names in the search.
  • You can use keywords and literals in the search.
  • You can search with metadata for non-agreement objects such as Account, Quote, Opportunity, etc.
  • When your search query includes a field that is not configured as a search result column, the field included in the search query is displayed as a search result column.
  • If there is a problem in loading the document preview screen, an error message is displayed in the preview panel. You can click PDF Viewer in the error message to open the document in PDF viewer.
  • You can click the document name on the PDF viewer to download the original document associated with the record
  • If you search with multiple keywords, all the keywords are highlighted in the snippet and you can also view the page number in which the keyword is found. If there is no text found matching in a document, the snippet is not displayed.
  • As a result of caching:
    • You can observe a reduction in document loading time when you preview a document that was already previewed.
    • You can observe a reduction in search result loading time when you reuse a search query.

Moved Smart Search Functionality to Base Package

Smart Search functionality is moved from Conga Contract Lifecycle Management Package to Conga Base Library. No configuration changes are required as a part of this change.

Deprecated Agreement Document Search

Agreement document search is deprecated in Lightning. You can continue to use agreement document search in Classic. You can use Smart Search to search content agreement documents in Lightning.

Ability to Delete Intelligent Data Discovery Settings

You can delete a configured IDD setting and the IDD setting is deleted from the IDD database.

Ability to Migrate Mappings from Salesforce to Intelligent Data Discovery

You can migrate existing mappings and settings from Salesforce to Intelligent Data Discovery (IDD). After you have migrated the existing mappings, you can perform any of the following tasks according to your requirement:

  • You can leave Project ID in the mapping as it is.
  • If you need to use a different project that you have created in Kira, you must edit the mapping and manually enter the project ID from Kira in the Project ID field in CLM. The Project ID field cannot be left blank after you edit a mapping.
  • If you create a new mapping in CLM, CLM creates a project in Kira, obtains the Project ID from Kira, and populates the Project ID field in CLM automatically.

Ability to Delete Mappings from AI Engine

You can delete the Provisions to Project-Record Type mappings in Kira along with the mappings in IDD.
