Enhancements

Updates to Approvals

To enhance the Approvals process, several updates were made.

  • We've removed "Delete" permissions from the following objects. For these objects, we’ve updated the page layouts so the fields are read only. Due to the way Salesforce push upgrades work, the changes to the page layouts will only be available in Salesforce Orgs where a Contracts for Salesforce package is newly installed. The page layout updates won’t be available for Salesforce Orgs that were upgraded to the 2.76 package from a previous version.
    • Approval Request

    • Approval Request Step

    • Managed Approval Step

    • Version Change

    • Version History

  • We've updated error messaging when there are missing permissions on Approval objects. These changes improve the way errors related to missing permissions are presented in the View Redlines user interface during the Approval process. For example, when using Contract Agreement, if a user’s profile does not have access to the Contract Agreement lookup field on Approval Request, an error results in the View Redlines user interface informing them that an access level of Readable is required for the field.

Contract Agreement Enhancement

  • Added the MSA value as an option in the Type picklist on Contract Agreements.

Serial Approvers Enhancements

Several enhancements were made to the Contracts for Salesforce approvals experience:

  • You can now add multiple approvers to a Clause Configuration in the Clause Library.
  • The Approvals user interface was updated to accommodate multiple approvers. In the Approvals user interface, all Managed Clauses that require approval are visible in the Tree List. Each Managed Clause is nested underneath the Clause Approver.
  • The Clause Approvals flow was updated to accommodate multiple approvers. When the Submit for Approval button is clicked in View Redlines, the first approver receives an email notifying them a Managed Clause requires their approval. If the clause change is accepted, approval is routed to the next approver and they are notified via email. Approvers can not approve a clause change out of order.
  • When there are multiple approvers, if a clause change is rejected by any approver, then the change is rejected completely. Any subsequent approvers are not able to approve the change.
  • When an approver accepts or rejects a change, their selection is permanent and the Approvals user interface is updated to no longer display the approve or reject buttons.

Managed Clauses Confirmation Messaging Update

When you modify Managed Clauses on a Salesforce record using the Contracts for Salesforce Select Managed Clauses user interface and click save, the confirmation message confirming success is now the following: "Managed Clauses Successfully Updated".

Select Managed Clauses Enhancement

The Select Managed Clauses user interface now displays Sub Clauses and their sort order when adding Managed Clauses to an Agreement.

Error Message Enhancements

Several changes were made to improve error messaging within the application.

  • Error messages are now displayed in scenarios where they were missing.
  • Error messages were consolidated for consistency.

Locale Parameter Enhancement

Conga Contracts for Salesforce now supports additional locales.
