New Features

Following are the new features introduced in this release:

Improved Document Generation

This feature provides an improvement to the resolution of merge fields during document generation without requiring auto‐publishing activity in advance.

Dynamic Document Assembly Enhancements

From this release, Dynamic Doc Assembly provides the following two enhancements:

  • Doc Assembly Ruleset, Rule and Component cloning
  • Differentiating DAR filter fields as Static and Dynamic fields

With Dynamic Document Assembly, you can now clone Document Assembly Rulesets, Document Assembly Rules, and all the associated components. This enhancement creates an Apex mass update solution which now can automatically determine if the component type for a rule being cloned (either as a part of a ruleset cloning or a rule cloning) should be replaced and what the replacement component (template) should be. For any Doc Assembly Rule (DAR), you can now differentiate the filter fields as dynamic and static filter fields. The dynamic filter fields are used to insert matching components in the generated document. The static filter fields help to reduce the volume of the Doc Assembly Rules applied for a specific Doc Assembly Ruleset by creating a subset of dynamic fields as static fields.

Document Generation Capabilities

The capabilities of Document Generation, or DocGen, are made completely visible with this release of Contract Management. Document generation is extended beyond the Agreement and Quote/Proposal object to cover the standard Salesforce objects and custom objects. You do not have to select the single template available on the Generate Agreement page. This reduces the number of user‐clicks for an action.

Auto‐selecting a Template

You do not have to select the single template available on the Generate Agreement page. This reduces the number of user‐clicks for an action.

Generate or Preview Page Enhancement for Agreement

From this release onwards, when you click on Generate or Preview, the Generate Agreement page displays a second row of action buttons at the bottom only when the number of templates exceeds five.  In the previous releases, the Generate Agreement page always displayed the second row of action buttons regardless of the number of templates associated with your agreement.
