Conga Orchestrate allows you to create complex processes with custom objects, in addition to standard Salesforce objects. More specifically, Conga Orchestrate provides functionality to reference custom objects as a Process Object and Step Object.
To reference custom objects with Conga Orchestrate, use the Custom Object wizard to easily configure custom objects as a Process Object or Step Object:
You must complete the Custom Object wizard to make a custom object eligible as a Process Object or Step Object.
Click the Conga Orchestrate Setup tab.
Under the Advanced Setup section, click Custom Objects.
Choose Process, Step, or Both to proceed with setting the custom object up as a Process Object or Step Object.
Click Verify to verify that OAuth is connected.
Choose Create New Custom Object or Select Existing Custom Object depending on whether you are using an existing custom object or creating a new one.
When creating a new custom object in the Custom Object wizard, enter in values for the name and data type (Text or Auto Number), then click Create a New Custom Object.
Creating a new custom object automatically generates the mandatory Conga Orchestrate fields and field mapping (Step 6) is skipped.
When referencing an existing custom object, choose the specific custom object and click Use Selected Object.
Once an existing custom object is selected, map the required Conga Orchestrate fields to existing fields on the custom object, or create new fields using the Custom Object wizard.
Select Default in the Custom Object Field to create new custom fields that map to the required Conga Orchestrate fields.
Select Choose Existing to choose existing fields that map to the mandatory Conga Orchestrate fields.
Click Map Fields to Custom Object once all fields are mapped or created.
Choose which fields are added to the custom object's Page Layout and click Assign Fields.
Choose the field level security for each user profile. Click Save Field Security to apply the selected field-level security to the referenced profiles.
Click Deploy Trigger to deploy the required Trigger and Text Class.
