Follow the steps below to set up the New Task Action on the Business Process object.

To set up the New Task Action:

  1. Navigate to Salesforce Setup in Lightning and select Object Manager under the Objects and Fields section.
  2. Click Business Process.
  3. Click Buttons, Links, and Actions.
  4. Click New Action.
  5. Select Create a Record for the Action Type field.
  6. Select Task for the Target Object field.
  7. Select Advisor Task for the Record Type field.
  8. Enter New Task (FSC) for the Label field
  9. Enter New_Task_FSC for the Name field.
  10. Click Save.
  11. Place any desired fields you would like on the Page Layout.
  12. Click Save.
  13. Navigate back to the Button, Links, and Actions and click New Task (FSC).
  14. Click New in the Predefined Field Values section.
  15. Select Name (under Standard Fields) for the Field Name field.
  16. Insert FSTR__Business_Process__c.FSTR__Client__c in to the Formula Value field.
  17. Click Save.
  18. Place the new Custom Action on the Business Process Page Layouts that you want the action to appear on.
