Smart Search enables you to perform sophisticated natural-language searches of your Salesforce org to return opportunities, agreements, and other documents, and information pertaining to all these objects. It is part of the base package and must be enabled by an administrator. Smart Search is available with the Conga CLM product.
Once installed, Smart Search accepts and parses your natural-language queries, uses artificial intelligence and fuzzy logic to provide accurate, expansive, and nuanced searches, and returns search results with salient passages highlighted in snippets. Smart Search can also detect your intentions with respect to a search and return results containing relevant fields that you may not have explicitly requested. You can sort and prioritize your search results using several criteria. When you pick a search result, Smart Search presents a link to the full document, which you can download as Word (.docx) or Portable Document Format (PDF) file. You can share your search results by email as a report in HTML, CSV, XLSX, or PDF formats, and you can “secure share” password-protected reports via an expiring link with a secure document download.
You can access Smart Search directly via the Smart Search app as a plugin to your Salesforce org. With the Max chatbot, Smart Search can drive the search capability of an interactive, conversational search process for Slack or Microsoft Teams.
