Deactivating a Test Step

You can deactivate a test step to stop its participation when you run the test case. This action marks the test step in all associated test cases as false in Active column and No in Enabled column. However deactivating a test step does not disable a test case in which this test step is used.

  1. On the Test Author home page, do one of the following to view the list of test steps that are already created.
    • Click Test Step in the right pane.
    • Go to Design > Test Step in the left pane.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • In the Active column, toggle the switch.
    • Click on the name of the test step, and click Edit. Toggle the Active button and click Update.
  3. Review the confirmation message and click Yes.
