Asking Questions with Conga Copilot

To access this feature, you must:

  1. Purchase the Contract AI feature package.

  2. Contact Conga Support to enable the contract-copilot feature flag on your account.

  3. Enable the COPILOT action permission. Only an Administrator can perform this task. For more information see Configuring Action Permissions for the Agreement Object.

You can ask questions regarding a contract document and expect a response from Conga Copilot. You can use the chat window in Conga Copilot to ask questions and get answers. This feature works for generated, regenerated, import/create offline, and AI Discovery extracted documents.
Note: Contract documents 12MB or higher are not supported by Conga Copilot or Redline AI.
  1. Within X-Author for Contracts Advanced, click the Work tab.
  2. Click the AI Icon and select Copilot.
  3. The Copilot Panel displays the following buttons:
    • HISTORY: View the chat history for this document based on your interactions with Conga Copilot. Your last ten chats display here. You can click on any of the chats listed to view it again.
      Note:
      • Click the Regenerate button to regenerate the response and get a different version or format of answer for the same question. This is useful when you don't get an appropriate answer in the first instance.

      • The regenerated response will be listed as a new page. The numbers listed are how many pages of your response exist and you can click on them or use the arrows to navigate through the different pages.

      • Click the Copy button to copy the response.

      • Use the Like (thumbs up) or Dislike (thumbs down) buttons to provide feedback on the AI generated response.

    • How does this work?: Navigate to the Conga Customer Community page.

    • Get Support: Navigate to the Conga Customer Community page and log in with your credentials.

    • Recent chats: Navigate to the recent chat history window containing your recent interactions with Copilot. This only displays chats Navigate to the recent chat history window containing your recent interactions with Copilot. This only displays chats related to the currently opened document.

  4. Under the list of frequently used prompts, click on one of the prompts listed to ask Copilot a question. By default, there are eight prompts available and for will randomly display. Your administrator can set up customized prompts and shortcuts for your organization. Click See More to view all available prompts. If shortcuts are enabled, see the next step.
  5. In the Copilot chat window, enter a / to see a list of all available shortcuts that are associated with the frequently used prompts. For example, /ContractName might be a shortcut an Administrator created to associate with an "What is the Contract Name?" frequently used prompt. If you prefer to ask your own questions, see the next step.
  6. In the Copilot chat window, type your question related to the document and click the arrow icon to receive the relevant answer. For example, you can ask "What is the contract name" or "What are the restrictions?".
  7. Click the + button to clear the chat screen and return to the main Copilot page.
