New Features and Enhancements
The following features are new to Conga X-Author in this release.
Cut and Paste Support for Clauses
X-Author for Contracts now supports cutting and pasting clauses within a contract document, with the following limitations:
- Clauses containing smart fields are not supported
- Agreement documents you have downloaded and then checked-out are not supported

Special Character File Name Support
For Microsoft Word 2021: Special characters are not supported by Microsoft Word 2021. When you save a file with special character, X-Author for Contracts Advanced replaces the special characters with a single space as a workaround during check-in. This is reflected in the Microsoft Word 2021 display name. The document in X-Author for Contracts Advanced will still show the name with special characters included.
For Microsoft O365: Special characters are supported and X-Author for Contracts Advanced makes no changes to how your file name is displayed in Microsoft Word.

The Mark Field option is now available for date format fields when you create or import an offline agreement. The system also checks that date formats match in generated agreement documents when you use the mark field option and returns an error if the format does not match.
Locale Option available for Create and Import Offline Documents
You now have the ability to select locale, date format, currency format, number precision, and currency precision when creating or importing offline documents. For more information see Creating Offline Agreements and Importing Offline Contracts.
Downloaded Document Navigation Enhancement
If a user has access to both the Contract and Template modules in X-Author for Contracts Advanced, then if they open a downloaded contract the add-in will launch with the contract pane selected, and if they open a downloaded template the add-in will launch with the Template pane selected.
Document Protection Enhancement
You can now update your document protection level during check-in. For more information. see Protecting and Unprotecting a Document and Checking in a Contract Document.
