A non-localized template is one where the locale settings are not defined while creating the template (i.e., the Enable Formatting option was not selected when the template was created and hence the locale settings are not formatted). For more information on creating a new template, see Creating New Templates. Using this feature, now we can apply different date formats to fields even for non-localized templates. 

To format date fields for non-localized templates

  1. Insert the date field into your template by following the steps in Inserting Fields in a Template.
  2. In the Templates pane, go to Work tab > Fields. If you cannot see the Fields tab, click the Dropdown icon (and select Fields.
  3. The Fields page lists all fields present in your template. Find the date field name and click to highlight it in the document.
  4. Click the Settings () button adjacent to the field name to open the field settings pane, which displays the field type (datatype) of a particular field, options to mark a field as smart or read-only, and a Date Format drop-down list.
  5. Select the preferred date format from the Date Format drop-down list. The following formats are available:

The new format is applied to the non-localized template's date field.
