Task Management
Task Management gives you a centralized way to create, view, and manage ad hoc tasks across the platform. Whether you are a regular user or an admin, Task Management helps you stay organized and complete work efficiently.

With Task Management, you can:
User Flow
The following high-level flow outlines how users interact with Task Management:
- Access Tasks: Open the Task dashboard from the navigation menu to view tasks assigned to you.
- Review Task List: Filter tasks by priority, due date, status, task group, or task type. Sort tasks by title or priority to focus on what matters most. For more information, see Filter, Search, and Manage Views.
- Create or Manage Tasks:
- Create a new task.
- Update status, add notes, manage attachments, or reassign tasks.
- Receive Notifications: Get instant alerts in-app and by email for new assignments, updates, or status changes.
- Complete Tasks: Mark tasks as complete when finished. Completed tasks move out of your active list.
Admin Responsibilities
As an admin, you play a key role in enabling and managing Task Management. Your responsibilities include:
- Create and assign tasks to users or user groups.
- Manage permissions so users can view, create, assign, and complete tasks.
- Monitor task progress using the dashboard to ensure important items are addressed promptly.
Task Management UI Overview
The Task Management UI provides a consistent and intuitive experience across the platform. You can access tasks from the Home page, navigate to a detailed task listing, and manage tasks through dedicated views for creation, review, and updates.
Home Page Tasks Widget:
The Home page widget shows up to four active tasks assigned to you, sorted by due date. Each task displays its title, status, priority, and due date. Select View All Tasks to open the detailed Tasks Listing page.
Tasks Listing Page:
The Tasks Listing page provides a complete view of all tasks you have access to in a single, unified list.
You can switch between List View and Grid View:
- List View: Create, edit, or delete tasks using the ellipsis (⋯) icon. Sort tasks at the column level.
- Grid View: Open tasks using View Details and apply filters to narrow down tasks.
Both views let you filter by priority, due date, status, task group, task type, and title. For more information, see Filter, Search, and Manage Views.
Collaboration Features:
Tasks include fields for context, collaboration, and document sharing:
- Notes: Add free-text notes (up to 5,000 characters) when creating or editing a task.
- Attachments: Upload documents or images in standard formats (.doc, .docx, .pdf, .zip, .png, .rtf, .txt, .jpg, .jpeg, .msg, .html, .ppt, .pptx, .xls, .xlsx, .xlsm, and .xml) while creating, editing, or reviewing tasks. Each file can be up to 28 MB, with a maximum of 10 attachments per task and an overall limit of 500 MB.
- Comments: Add up to 1,000 comments per task (1,000 characters each) while reviewing tasks. Comments display in chronological order with the newest on top and include the commenter's name and timestamp.
