Adding Data Tags Back with Microsoft Word
Copy the missing tag (<> ) using the copy icon in the warning message window.
Click Open in Word.
In the browser popup, select Open Word or Open Link depending on your browser.
Avoid clicking Continue until you’ve finished editing the document (Step 11).
If prompted by Word’s Protected View, click Enable Editing.
Press Alt + Fn F9 (Windows) or Option Fn F9 (Mac) to view data tags in Microsoft Word.
Press Ctrl + Fn F9 (Windows) or Cmd + Fn F9 (Mac) at the Start/End of the clause to get the curly braces to paste the missing data tag.
Paste the copied tag (from Step 3) in the correct position (within the curly braces).
Remove any extra spaces on both sides of the tag, if present.
Press Alt + Fn F9 (Windows) or Option Fn F9 (Mac) to toggle back to stop viewing the data tags. The document now should not be displaying any data tag or curly braces.
