You can use the Search option on the left panel of the Contracts Home page to search content in CLM. This feature allows you to search for information without the need to understand the workings of CLM. The search result displays the following fields
Document name
Document version
Document extension
Page number
Object type
You can use keywords that are in the content of the contract documents to perform a search on the content in CLM.
To search contract documents:
Click the App Launchericon () and selectContract Apps.
On the Contracts page, click theSearch tab on the left panel.
In the search box, enter a search term in the search bar and press Enter.
Click the filter icon () to apply filters to your search results. The filter popup is displayed.
Select the primary object.
Select one of the following options from the Take action when drop-down list.
All conditions are met
Any condition is met
Provide expression
To add logic to the Provide expression field, you can use:
Numbers to refer to each condition
AND or OR to identify which combination of conditions must be true
Parentheses to group parts of the string together
Sample expression: ((1 AND 2) OR 3)
ClickAdd Criteria.
Select a field to be used in the filter criteria.
Select an operator from the drop-down. The operator defines the relationship between the field and the value. The list of available operators varies depending on the data type of the chosen field.
Enter the value of the field. The type of value field depends on the fieldselected.
To add another filter, clickAdd Criteriaand repeat steps 7, 8, and 9.
Click Apply. According to the search criteria, the following fields are displayed for the selected primary object.
Contract: Name, Contract Number, Account, Record Type, Status Category, Status, Contract Start Date, Contract End Date, Total Contract Value, Created Date
When you search with a keyword, the page displays your search results. Click the expand icon (>) to view the content snippet containing the search keyword.
