New Features and Enhancements

The following features are new to Conga Approvals in this release.

Enhanced ProcessSteps and RuleEntries APIs to Support Role as an Assignee Type

Updates include:

Access Quote Level Approval Requests from Conga CPQ on Salesforce

A new My Approvals (Quote) button has been added to the Quote/Proposal page in Salesforce. This button allows you to view and manage approval requests for all quotes, regardless of whether they were created in Salesforce using Conga CPQ or Revenue Lifecycle Cloud. Quotes are automatically synchronized between the two systems, ensuring seamless integration. To learn more about accessing My Approvals (Quote) option from Conga CPQ, see Configuring My Approval Button on Proposal Detail Page. To learn more about managing quote-level approvals, see Approvals for Users.

Ability for User Group Members to Approve or Reject Requests via Email

User group members can now approve or reject requests directly from email when their process step is assigned to a user group (Queue). The system sends an email to all members if the IsSendEmailToMembers property on the user group is enabled. For more details, see Create a User Group API. This email allows any member to respond by approving or rejecting the request, with or without comments. The system processes the response based on the member's input. In case of a failure, the system notifies the member via email with the appropriate reason.

If the IsSendEmailToMembers property is disabled, the email is sent only to the email address associated with the user group, provided it is not suppressed by Approval System Properties. However, in this case, the system does not process any responses received from the email.

For more details on assigning queues, see Approval Flows. To learn more about taking action on a request, see Approving or Rejecting an Approval Request.
