Integration Hub
The Integration Hub provides a centralized interface for managing and monitoring third-party integrations within the Conga Advantage Platform. It allows administrators to connect Conga applications with external systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, HubSpot, and SAP Ariba, from a single location.
Instead of relying on multiple external integration platforms (iPaaS tools), the Integration Hub enables you to manage integrations directly within the Conga UI. This simplifies integration management, improves visibility, and helps automate key business workflows such as quote-to-cash.
The Integration Hub uses Workato as the underlying integration platform. Workato provides secure connectivity and automation logic to synchronize data between the Conga Advantage Platform and supported third-party systems.
Before You Begin
- Enable Third-Party Cookies: Your browser must allow third-party cookies to use this feature. If third-party cookies are blocked, the page may not load as expected. For more information, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari (macOS), Mozilla Firefox.
- Configure Workato IDs: Ensure that the Workato Workspace ID and Workato Integration User ID are configured in Organization Management. These IDs are required to establish and maintain the integration between the Conga Platform and your Workato workspace. For more information, see Organization Management.
- Assign the Required Permission:All users, including administrators, must have the Workato Operations User permission group assigned to their account before they can access the Integration Hub. Contact your administrator to request this permission. For more information, see Roles and Permission Groups.
How the Integration Hub Works
The Integration Hub enables data synchronization between Conga Advantage Platform and external systems using connections and recipes.
- Connections: A connection establishes secure communication between Conga Advantage Platform and an external system (for example, Microsoft Dynamics 365). Once authentication is completed, both systems are ready to exchange data. Supported authentication methods include OAuth 2.0, SAML SSO, and API key–based authentication.
- Recipes: Recipes define when and how data is exchanged between systems. They contain the automation logic that determines the trigger and actions for data synchronization. For example, a recipe can automatically run when a new quote is created in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and sync that data with Conga CPQ.Note: Recipes are created and maintained by Conga. These out-of-the-box recipes are provided by default and cannot be created or edited by users in this phase.
Integration Hub User Interface Overview
The Integration Hub page provides a clear view of all available integrations and their automation status.
Navigation Path:The Integration Hub appears in the left-side navigation menu under Conga Advantage Platform.
- Connected Systems Panel: At the top of the page, the Your Connected Systems panel displays all integrations available for your organization, such as Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics 365. The panel shows the total count of connected systems and the connection status (Connected or Disconnected) for each.
- Settings Button: Click this to open the Integration Hub settings, where you can configure the Workato SSO URL. For more information, see SSO-based authentication.
- Launch Workato Button: Click this button to open Workato application user interface. First-time users are automatically onboarded. For more information, see Launching Workato topic.
- View Recipes Button: Each connected system includes a View Recipes button that opens the recipe list for the selected integration. The list shows key details such as the recipe name, current status (Ready to Start, Running, or Setup Required), and last run information. From the Actions column, administrators can start, stop, or complete the setup for a recipe. You can also search for recipes by name or description and apply filters to quickly find specific integrations, making it easier to manage recipe execution and monitor overall integration health.
SSO-based authentication
The Settings option in the Integration Hub allows you to configure the Workato SSO URL. When the SSO URL is configured, you are authenticated automatically when you click Launch Workato, without needing to enter separate Workato credentials. This removes an extra login step, reduces friction if you access Workato frequently, and ensures a consistent single sign-on experience across the Conga platform. If the SSO URL is not configured, you are prompted to log in to Workato manually each time.
Launching Workato
You can open Workato directly from the Integration Hub by clicking the Launch Workato button in the top-right corner of the page. Workato opens in a new browser tab.
The login experience depends on your organization's setup. If your organization has configured a Workato SSO URL, you are authenticated automatically and directed to the Workato workspace. If SSO is not configured, you are prompted to log in manually with your Workato credentials.
First-Time Users
If you are accessing Workato for the first time through the Integration Hub, the system automatically sets up your access. It creates a Workato user account, sends an invitation email to your registered email address, and assigns default roles and workspace access. You are then redirected to the Workato workspace.
Recipe Setup and Management
View Recipes: Each connected system in the Your Connected Systems panel includes a View Recipes button. Click this button to open the recipe list for the selected integration. The list displays the following details:
- Recipe name
- Current status: Ready to Start, Running, or Setup Required
- Last run information
From the Actions column, you can:
- Start or stop a recipe
- Complete the setup for a recipe that shows Setup Required status
- Search for recipes by name or description
- Apply filters to quickly find specific integrations
Complete Recipe Setup: If a recipe displays a Setup Required status, you must complete the initial configuration before starting it. The setup screen includes the following tabs:
- Connection Setup: Used to authenticate and establish a secure connection with the Conga API. Required fields vary based on the external system being integrated. This is a one-time configuration. Click Complete Setup to finalize.
- Field Mapping: Field mapping comes with default mappings preconfigured for all out-of-the-box recipes. You can optionally map custom fields to meet your specific business requirements.
After completing the setup, click Start to activate the recipe.
Integration Example
The following example describes a common integration scenario using the Integration Hub.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Conga CLM: A quote or proposal is created in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for a sales opportunity. Once created, the document is automatically synced to Conga CLM through the integration. The same quote or proposal is then available in Conga CLM, where it can be reviewed, managed, and tracked as part of the contract lifecycle, without requiring manual upload or re-creation. Fore more information, see Microsoft Dynamics 365 Integration with Conga CLM.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Conga CPQ: A sales representative creates and manages opportunities in Microsoft Dynamics 365. Using the Workato-based integration, the representative can launch Conga CPQ from Dynamics 365 to create, configure, and finalize quotes without switching applications. Workato automates the data exchange between Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Conga CPQ, helping keep quote and opportunity information synchronized across both systems and reducing manual effort. For more information, see Microsoft Dynamics 365 Integration with Conga CPQ.
