Reauthorizing Platform Connection After External System Refresh
You are an administrator.
The Platform connects to an external system using the External Organization ID. When the external system refreshes its instance (for example, a Salesforce Sandbox refresh), the External Organization ID may change. This change breaks the existing connection, and users cannot continue their work until the administrator updates or reauthorizes the connection.
For example:
When a Salesforce Sandbox is refreshed, it generates a new Organization ID. After the refresh, the administrator must reauthorize the Platform connection with the new Sandbox Organization ID. If the reauthorization is not completed, existing users will see errors or lose access until the connection is updated.
- Log in to the Conga Advantage Platform as an administrator.
- From the Conga Start window, click .
- Go to the External Integrations tab.
- Click More (
) icon and select Edit.
- For OIDC IdP's (such as Salesforce, Microsoft. etc.), click Authorize and login with your credentials to auto-populate the updated external organization ID of the selected identity provider.
- For SAML 2.0 IdP's, you can either update the External Organization ID manually or upload the XML file.
- Click Save.
The Platform reestablishes the connection with the external system using the updated External Organization ID. Existing users can continue their work without interruption.
