Set Up the Conga Auth Salesforce Connected App

Salesforce has introduced new usage restrictions for connected apps. As a result, some Conga Advantage Platform customers may need to manually install or authorize the Conga Auth Salesforce connected app to ensure that Salesforce users can continue to sign in to Conga using their Salesforce credentials.

This topic explains when you are impacted and how to set up or verify the Conga Auth connected app in Salesforce.

Salesforce reference: Prepare for Connected App Usage Restrictions Change

Who this applies to:

This setup is required only if:

  • You use Salesforce federated authentication for the Conga Advantage Platform, and
  • Your Salesforce organization is impacted by Salesforce's Connected App Usage Restrictions changes.

What is the Conga Auth connected app?

Conga has registered a connected app called Conga Auth in Salesforce cloud. This app is used to:

  • Enable federated authentication from Salesforce to Conga Advantage Platform.
  • Allow users from your Salesforce organization to sign in to Conga Advantage Platform applications using their existing Salesforce credentials.
  • Maintain a secure integration using OAuth and refresh tokens.

If this app is not authorized, installed, or becomes blocked, Salesforce users might be unable to log in to Conga Advantage Platform via Salesforce.
