Approvals for Salesforce Feb '26 Release Notes

Packages
The following packages and dependencies are required to upgrade to this release and use its new features. These are the minimum required versions; later versions are also supported. Prerequisites for each feature can be found in its documentation. Packages marked (New) are new for this release.

New Features
The following features are new to Approvals in this release.
Custom Tab, Attachments, and Assigned User Display on the My Approvals Page
Introduced the following new features and improvements to the My Approvals page to improve access to approval details, customization options, and request ownership visibility:
- View Attachments on the My Approvals Page: You can now open attachments linked to approval requests directly from the My Approvals page in a new browser tab for easier access. To enable this feature, turn on the following settings:
- APTS_ShowAttachmentsOnMyApprovals (new admin property)
- Use Files Instead of Notes & Attachments (Approvals Custom Config Setting)
When both settings are enabled, the system adds an Attachments column to the My Approvals grid. This column displays a link for each request that includes files added during submission.
- Custom Visualforce Tab Support: Admins can now add a custom tab to the My Approvals page and display content from a Visualforce page directly within that tab. To support this feature, added the following fields to the Approvals Custom Config Settings:
- MyApprovals Custom Tab Name: Defines the label for the custom tab. If you leave this field blank, the system uses Visualforce Page Tab as the default tab name.
- MyApprovals Custom Tab Page Name: Specifies the name of the Visualforce page whose content appears in the custom tab.
To display the custom tab in the UI, create the admin property APTS_VisualforcePageTab_Display and set it to Enable.
- Assigned User Display in Approval Requests: When you take ownership of an approval request or reassign it from a queue, the system now displays the assigned user as the Assignee in the Assigned To column on the My Approvals page. To enable this behavior, create a new admin property named APTS_ShowAssignedToAsUser and set it to Enable.
