Enhancements
The following enhancements are new to CLM in this release.
Global Documents API: Edit, Delete, and Inactivate Documents
Users with the required permissions can now manage documents associated with business entities such as contracts and conversations through the Global Documents API /api/drive/v1/files/{documentId}. Supported operations include updating document metadata, deleting documents, and marking documents as inactive. All metadata changes are tracked in the audit trail for compliance and traceability. When a document is inactivated, it remains linked to its associated entity and can be filtered by status, but is excluded from active workflows and operational processing.
Sticky Save and Cancel Buttons for Custom Layouts with Tabs
The Save and Cancel buttons remain visible as a sticky footer on the contracts page for all custom layouts, including those with multiple tabs. This update maintains consistent access to these actions when switching between tabs in the Edit Record screen.
Edit Action Support for Global Documents
Users with appropriate permissions can now edit document metadata (such as name, type, and description), and mark documents as inactive for any document uploaded to the Global Documents repositor. All edits are recorded in the audit trail, and inactivated documents remain visible in an "inactive" state, are filterable, and are excluded from active workflows but can be reactivated as needed. These actions are governed by role-based and permission-based access controls, and validation rules apply during edits as on upload. For more information, see Uploading a Document to the Repository.
Contract Request Creation from Account and Opportunity Pages
Users can now create contract requests directly from an Account or an Opportunity record in Conga. Each contract request is automatically associated with the selected account, making it easier to maintain customer context and ensuring that all contract requests related to an account are accessible from a single location. For more information, see Manage Account's Contract Requests and Creating a Contract Request for an Opportunity.
Conga CLM-Dynamics 365 Integration: Sync Lines Button Amendment Opportunity Validation
The Sync Lines button now brings in line items from the Amendment Opportunity without removing line items associated with the Original Opportunity. This update maintains accurate tracking of both original and amendment-related line items during the amendment process.
Conga CLM-Dynamics 365 Integration: Contract Amendment
Users can now create amendments for existing Conga CLM contracts directly from Microsoft Dynamics 365. The users can initiate the amendment process from Dynamics 365 by associating an amendment opportunity with an existing opportunity. The system creates the amended contract and links the amended contract to the opportunity, allowing the users to continue working without leaving the Microsoft Dynamics 365 interface. For more information, see Amending a Contract.
Document Requirement Configuration
Contract administrators can configure document types as Mandatory or Optional for each contract type using the Document Requirement Type card in App Settings. The configuration page displays all supported contract and document types and supports individual and bulk updates.
During the Send for Signature action, the system validates that all mandatory documents are present in the contract record. If any mandatory document type is missing, a Required Documents window lists the absent document types and blocks the action until all required documents are uploaded. Validation applies to both out-of-the box, custom contract types and document types. For more information, see Configuring Document Requirements.
CLM Role Visibility Update for New and Existing Tenants
New tenants now only see the current out-of-the-box (OOTB) CLM roles during setup and administration, with legacy roles hidden to promote recommended configurations. Existing tenants retain visibility and functionality for both legacy and new OOTB roles, with all user assignments and permission groups remaining unchanged. The "CongaCLMReadOnlyUser" role remains available for both new and existing tenants.
Automatic Removal of Obligations Linked to Deleted Clauses in X-Author Contracts
When a clause is deleted from a contract in X-Author and the document is checked in, any obligations associated with that clause are automatically removed from the contract. However, if the clause is deleted after the contract has been activated, the associated obligations and their fulfillment records are retained to prevent the loss of post-activation data.
Simple Review Validation for Document Upload
The simple review process now validates uploaded documents and prevents the review from being marked as finished if an invalid document is uploaded and the upload popup is closed. For more information, see Finishing a Contract Document Review.
Fixed Issues
The following issues are fixed in this release. If any actions are required, they will be listed in this table.
| Case Number | Conga Internal ID | Description |
|---|---|---|
| - | CONTRACTS-42974 | Dynamic Lookup Filters in CLM layouts fail when the page configuration name contains spaces or when the target object has a reference data type, causing the UI to send the name instead of the ID in the additional search parameter, which prevents proper filtering of results. |
| NA | CONTRACTS-42942 | The New Contract button does not appear on the Contracts tab when accessing the Manage Contract feature from an Account or Opportunity record during the initial page load. The button becomes visible only after navigating to the Contract Request tab and returning to the Contracts tab, or by refreshing the page. |
| NA | CONTRACTS-42868 | When creating a contract from a proposal, the Quote Grand Total value from the proposal is not copied to the Total Contract Value field in the contract. The field is left empty. Additionally, when revising the cart and updating the related contract, the updated values are not reflected in the Total Contract Value field. |
| - | CONTRACTS-42712 | The Global Documents option intermittently does not appear on the My Files page despite the feature flag being enabled. Refreshing the page does not resolve the issue, but navigating to Contract Details ? Documents and returning to My Files makes the option visible. |
| - | AIPLAT-6483 | The Search Agent's Natural Language Query (NLQ) functionality does not always correctly interpret certain synonyms for ‘Account’ such as ‘Supplier’ or accurately process some numerical fields such as Estimated Spend. As a result, queries may return incomplete or unexpected results. As a result, users may need to rephrase their queries to obtain the intended results. |
