Preview: CLM for Advantage Platform 202603.2.0 Release Notes

In these release notes, you can find enhancements and fixed and known issues for the CLM 202603.2.0 release. For documentation updates, see What's New in CLM Documentation.

Note:

This documentation may describe optional enhancements for which you have not purchased a license; therefore your solution or implementation may differ from what is described here. Contact your customer success manager (CSM) or account executive (AE) to discuss your specific enhancements and licensing.

Enhancements

The following enhancements are new to CLM in this release.

Property-Based Access Control for Grid Row Actions

Grid row actions in Accounts, Contracts, and Legal Entity now display Edit and Delete options only for records where the non-admin users have both object-level and attribute-level permissions. This validation applies even when the common attribute field is not present in the grid view.

Dynamic Lookup Filters Based on Another Field

Configure dynamic lookup filters that use the value of a parent lookup field to filter records in a dependent lookup field on contract and agreement layouts. The configuration is managed through the Config Management API and supports specifying parent and dependent fields, layout applicability, and optional junction object relationships for advanced scenarios. This feature applies static criteria from schema manager in addition to dynamic filters, ensuring only relevant records are displayed based on user selection. For more information, see Dynamic Lookup Filters for CLM Layouts.

Manage Participants UI Enhancements

The Manage Participants interface now displays the Add Participants section above the Current Participants list and shows each user's email address. The participant who initiates the conversation is marked with an Owner badge and always appears at the top of the list, and participant avatar colors remain consistent across all related pages. For more information, see Managing Participants.

Bulk Import Template Download Permission Notification

Users without the required permissions on the Bulk Import page now receive a toast message stating "You do not have permission to download templates" when attempting to download a template. This update informs users of access restrictions and prevents silent failures during template download attempts. For more information, see Downloading a Template.

Adobe Sign and DocuSign OAuth Authentication Flow Update

The Adobe Sign and DocuSign OAuth authentication flows in the new UI now open in a pop-up window, addressing browser security restrictions that block authorization within an iFrame.

Additionally, to send contracts for eSignature through DocuSign from the new UI, the business users must enable third-party cookies in their browser.

For more information, see Setting up Adobe Sign Parameters, Setting up DocuSign Parameters and Sending Documents for eSignature with DocuSign.

Role-Based Access Control for Conversations

The Conversations feature now provides required object-level permissions for each action, including viewing threads, creating and editing messages, managing participants, and handling attachments. Action buttons such as Create Post, Edit, and Delete are enabled or disabled based on these permissions. For more information, see Roles and Permission Groups.

Validation, Permission, and Usability Enhancements

This release enhances validation, permissions, and overall usability.

  • Delayed publishing is now available when events are configured for an object, ensuring proper setup before use.
  • DateTime validation has been improved to support accurate scheduling.
  • Swagger documentation has been updated to improve naming clarity (for example, “TaskAction” is now shown as “Task Action”).
  • Attachment management has been refined so creators and administrators can manage deletions, and task lifecycle handling has been strengthened to maintain the integrity of completed and cancelled records.
  • User selection has also been improved to ensure only active users are assigned.

For more information, see Task Management.

Consistent Participant Avatar Colors Across Conversations

Participant avatars now display consistent colors and initials for the same users across the conversation list, conversation header, message thread, and Manage Participant pop-up. This update provides a unified visual representation of participants throughout all sections of the Conversations screen.

@Mention Tagging in Conversations: Create Post and Replies

Users can now @mention internal users, contacts, supplier contacts, and user groups when creating posts. When user groups are mentioned, they are expanded into individual users after the post is created and are not displayed as tagged groups in the details view. In replies to a conversation, the @mention is scoped to the participants within the conversation, and multiple mentions are supported in a single reply.

Typing @ in the rich text editor opens a searchable dropdown that displays avatars, names, and emails, supports keyboard navigation, and renders selected mentions as styled chips that are automatically added to the participant list. A minimum of two characters is required to search for @mentions in the Create Post dialog, and three characters in the Post Details view.

For more information, see Creating a Post and Replying to a Post in the Application.

Task Management Enhancements

Tasks option in the Contract Details page kebab menu has been renamed to Manage Tasks, providing clearer context and improving navigation for users.

Contract managers can now attach documents while creating tasks, with attachments saved along with the task.

For more information, see View and Manage Tasks and Creating a New Task for a Contract.
