Create a Dashboard Report using Conga Composer and Conga QuickMerge

Step by Step Process on how to create a Dashboard Report using Conga Composer and Conga QuickMerge.

Customers on Conga Composer Release 8 can use Global Merge to create Dashboard Reports.

  1. Create a custom Conga Composer home page link.
  2. Create a QuickMerge link and customize the page.
  3. Create reports to gather the Data and Image URLs.
  4. Update the home page link to tie it all together.
  5. Click SetupCustomizeHomeCustom Links. Click New for a New Custom Link.
  6. Name your link then paste this into the Button or Link URL section and save:
    https://composer.congamerge.com?SessionId={!API.Session_ID}
    &ServerURL={!API.Partner_Server_URL_220}&Id={!User.Id}
    Note:

    We used the User.Id for this home page link. Don’t worry – you’ll get all the data you request in your report. We use the User.Id so that this solution is not tied to one object. It really has no bearing on your data.

  7. Now create a Home Page Component (if you wish or you can add the link to an existing Component).
  8. After you create your Home page component, add the Dashboard Report link to show.
  9. Next add your new component to your layout. Click Home Page Layouts and check the box next to your new component.
  10. On the next page you can order your Components. This is how they will show on your Home page.
  11. Click Save. You now have a basic Composer Home page link, and a new Component that is available on the home page. The next step is to create your QuickMerge link.
