Conga Composer Solution Migration Utility Tool - Deprecated

This feature is deprecated. For more information, see Solution Migration Tool End of Life.

The Conga Composer Solution Migration Utility tool allows you to export and import solution records between Salesforce Orgs. For example, you can export a solution record you created in a Sandbox Org and import it into your Production Org.

Note: The solution must be built with the Solution Manager or Document Automation Wizard.

The Solution Migration Utility allows a solution to be migrated from one org to another. Upon import in the target org, the solution is created as new and does not map to or update existing solutions. The solution adds the Conga_Composer_ object to every new solution and you cannot change it or the solution breaks.

Note:

The Solution Migration Utility Tool currently does not migrate Conga Queries referenced in QVar parameters and their retrieved record Ids, such as Conga Template and Conga Email Template Ids.

To migrate a solution

  1. Log in to the Salesforce org where the solution is being migrated from.
  2. Navigate to the Solution Record you want to export.
  3. Click on the Export Solution button.
  4. Click Download and navigate to the folder where you want to save the .zip file.
    Warning: Salesforce CRM Content must be enabled in both Salesforce orgs for the Export Solution to work.

To import a Solution

  1. Log in to the Salesforce org where the solution is being migrated to.
  2. Navigate to Conga Composer Setup.
  3. Click on the Solution Migration tab.
  4. Click Browse and navigate to the .zip file you want to upload.
  5. Click Import.

If the solution migration fails, you can see in-depth error messages with details on why the Solution Migration fails from the browser console panel.

To troubleshoot Error Messages within the Browser Console Panel

  1. Right click on the browser page.
  2. Click Inspect. (Shortcut key: Ctrl+Shift +I)
  3. Click the Console tab.
  4. Review error message details on why the solution migration is failing.
