To use Capture Mode and True-Up With Manage Unknown Changes Enabled

Warning: The following functionality is only available if Manage Unknown Changes is enabled in CLM Setup.
  1. Open the new version of the document that includes the updated text and click True-Up.
  2. In the left navigation bar, locate the Unknown Changes section. Click on one of the items listed in this section.
  3. In the Capture Mode pop-up that appears, the following two tabs are available:
    • Fields: This tab displays field that are not part of the existing document.

    • Clause Library: This tab displays clauses that are not part of the existing document. Inactive clauses are not visible.

  4. Select a field or clause.
  5. After reviewing, click Save or Save and Continue.
    Note: Clicking Save and Save and Continue will only save changes to the record. Click the Save Unknown Changes button to also save the unknown changes to the document.
Your unknown changes are now saved.
Note: If you highlight text in the document, the Capture Mode window behaves as normal. This means the following tabs display:
  • FIelds: the Fields tab displays existing fields in the document.

  • Clauses: The Clauses tab displays existing Managed Clauses in the document.
