Managing the Option Groups
Option Groups in the Conga platform are categories used to organize and group option products for association with bundles. They facilitate the process of configuring product bundles. Option Groups can also be used as categories, and they are divided into two types: Shared Option Groups and Standalone Option Groups.
Shared Option Groups: Shared Option Groups can be associated with multiple bundles. These groups are ideal for option products that are common across various bundles. Using Shared Option Groups ensures that updates to the group structure reflect across all associated bundles.
- Standalone Option Groups:Standalone Option Groups are specific to a single bundle. These groups are suitable for unique option products tailored to a specific bundle. While Standalone Option Groups can be associated with other bundles, only the initial group structure is retained. Any changes made after the first save are not reflected in subsequent associations. Standalone Option Groups allow for tailored configurations for individual bundles.
Product Configuration: Structuring and management of option products within bundles for various product configurations.
Consistency Across Bundles: Using Shared Option Groups to ensure consistent option offerings across multiple bundles.
Tailored Bundles: Employing Standalone Option Groups for unique, bundle-specific option configurations.
