This documentation may describe optional enhancements for which you have not purchased a license; therefore your solution or implementation may differ from what is described here. Contact your customer success manager (CSM) or account executive (AE) to discuss your specific enhancements and licensing.
Enhancements
The following enhancements are new to CPQ in this release.
Quote Cloning: User Group as Record Owner
You can assign a user group as the Record Owner when cloning quotes. This allows group-based access control for cloned proposals, carts, and cart lines through the cart lifecycle callback. Previously, cloning a quote failed with an error when a user group was set as the Record Owner via the ICartLifecycleCallback. With this update, the cloning process correctly saves the user group value, ensuring all members of the assigned group can access the cloned records.
Agreement Line Item Creation Status Messaging During Contract Creation
The system polls the job status for Agreement Line Item creation when a contract is created and displays a toast message upon job completion. Users receive real-time feedback with specific messages for successful or failed Agreement Line Item creation, and actions such as Create and Update are disabled during processing for the same contract to prevent conflicts.Error messages from the Job Status API are shown on failure, with a fallback message if no error is returned.
Clone Cart Without Repricing
You can clone a cart with the Price = False option to duplicate line items and all related records such as adjustments, usage tiers, price breakups, incentives, promotions, price programs, deal guidance, rebates, and configurations without triggering the pricing and configuration cycle. The cloned cart retains the exact pricing and configuration data from the source cart, significantly reducing processing time during cart cloning.
For more information, see Cart APIs in Conga Developer Portal.
Cart Cloning Without Price Recalculation
Cloning a cart now supports the option to set price = false, creating a cloned cart with all original cart data and without triggering pricing recalculation. You can update the cloned cart and existing cart cloning workflows remain unaffected.
For more information, see Clone a Cart API in Conga Developer Portal.
Eligible Service Bundle Configuration
Sales representatives can configure service bundles for eligible purchased equipment, with inclusion, exclusion, and validation rules applied during bundle configuration. Bundle selections trigger standard constraint rules, including rules that reference related line items, supporting complex offering scenarios.
For more information, see Associate Service Products to Products in Cart.
Clone Cart Without Re-Pricing
You can clone a cart with the Price = False option to duplicate line items and all related records such as adjustments, usage tiers, price breakups, and configurations without triggering the pricing and configuration cycle. Previously, cloning a cart re-ran pricing and configuration processing for all cloned line items, increasing processing time. With this enhancement, the cloned cart retains all original pricing and configuration data exactly as-is from the source cart, significantly reducing processing overhead and improving performance for large carts.
For more information, see Cart APIs in Conga Developer Portal.
CPQ API Support for Sharing Quotes with Buyers
The CPQ API enables sharing finalized quotes with up to 10 buyer contacts, creating collaboration requests and sending email notifications for each contact. Internal and external user records are created or updated as needed, with permission groups—FullEdit, RestrictedEdit, or AcceptReject—assigned based on the specified access type, and access changes apply only to the current quote. If the same quote is shared multiple times with the same contacts, additional collaboration requests are created, and the latest request is used for each user.
The feature flag, platform-user-management-contact-scope, enable-contact-user-operations, needs to be enabled on the tenant to validate that the contact user has access to the data.
POST /api/quote/v1/quotes/quoteId/share-with-buyer
Multi-Condition Scope Support in Clone Rebate API
The Clone Rebate API now supports cloning rebate programs with complete multi-condition scopes, including condition groups, criteria, and logical expressions across all four application methods. Cloned programs retain the source condition structure and are ready to use without manual re-entry. Single-condition and no-condition cloning behavior remains unchanged.
For more information, see Clone rebate API in the Conga Developer Portal.
Increased Character Limit for Text Area Attributes
You can store up to 5,000 characters in text area type attributes, an increase from the previous 2,000-character limit. This enhancement allows you to capture longer notes, detailed descriptions, and comprehensive text content in attribute fields without data truncation.
Cart API: Support for Additional Fields in Quote Creation
You can pass additional fields, such as the Location field, in the quote creation request payload when using the Cart API ( {{POST /api/cart/v1/carts/
{cartId}/quote}} ) checkout endpoint. Previously, only certain fixed fields were accepted, and any additional fields were ignored. With this enhancement, any field you include in the request payload is stored in the quote object after creation. You can configure the QuoteOverrideAllowedFields setting to specify which fields can be overridden during quote creation.
For more information, see Cart APIs in Conga Developer Portal.
Cart and Asset View Field Validation APIs
You can use built-in field validation when configuring cart and asset views. The Admin APIs validate that the fields you select for filters, sorting, grouping, and display columns exist in the flow's available line item fields based on the display column settings. This prevents configuration errors by ensuring only valid fields are applied to your cart and asset views.
For more information, see Revenue Administration APIs in Conga Developer Portal.
Optimized Cart Versioning with Clone Without Repricing
You can create cart versions using an optimized cloning path that skips the pricing and configuration cycle. When enabled, creating a child version from a parent cart version copies line items and all related entities directly without re-fetching pricing, re-running configuration logic, or recomputing totals. This significantly reduces processing overhead while preserving all pricing and configuration data from the parent version. This feature is managed with the feature flag. You must contact Conga support team to enable this feature.
For more information, see Cart APIs in Conga Developer Portal.
AgreementLineItem Cart Reference Population for Order Amendments
The Agreement creation flow now stores DerivedFrom references on AgreementLineItem records during the Proposal-to-Agreement conversion. This update enables the inflight order amendment process for Agreement-based orders by linking each AgreementLineItem to its originating cart line item.
Storefront URL Configuration for Digital Sales Room
Administrators can configure a Storefront URL for Storefronts with the Channel Type set to Digital Sales Room. The configuration displays the Storefront Path in the format <URL><Storefront Name><Tenant / Org ID> and provides a preview of the generated Digital Sales Room URL.
For more information, see Creating Storefront Settings and Editing Storefront Setting.
Support End Date Earlier Than Start Date in ABO Operations
ABO change operations now allow setting the end date earlier than the start date without displaying a validation error, enabling users to proceed with cart finalization. This update removes the previous restriction and validation message for this scenario.
Note that in this scenario the Selling term will be 1 and Net price will be calculated based on it.
Quick Quote Support for Large Carts
Quick Quote now supports importing up to 10,000 unique products in a single quote, addressing previous limitations and resolving errors related to URI length when processing large product lists. This update enables bulk creation of large quotes without interruption.
Rollup Calculation Consistency for Line Item Fields
The system now consistently updates rollup values for custom line item fields across all products in a product group when items are added individually. Each line item now reflects the correct aggregated quantity regardless of the order or method of addition.
Error Handling for SPOM API Response Delays and Exceptions
The system now displays clear error messages for longer wait times or exceptions in SPOM API responses, including base messages for pricing method errors and detailed error IDs for evaluation API failures. HTTP errors such as too many requests, bad requests, and internal service errors are also surfaced with appropriate messages, halting further callouts to prevent cascading issues.
Attribute Character Limit
The configuration page displays a “?” icon next to attributes with a defined character length. Hovering over the icon shows the maximum number of characters the field accepts. Input is restricted to the specified limit, and any additional characters are removed.
Quote Sharing Experience Updates in Web UI
Sales representatives can now share DSR Quotes from the Web UI with enhanced recipient selection, updated access messaging, and the new "DSR - Send for Review Template" email notification. The recipient list displays only contacts associated with the Quote's account, and DSR access is automatically granted to recipients when the Quote is sent. The "Share with Buyer" and "Share with Partner" actions are only available when the quote is associated with an account, and the Send button is disabled with a tooltip if the cart is empty or not finalized. As part of the UI enhancements, the authentication types have been renamed to Anonymous and Authenticated with Login. In addition, minor updates have been made to the names of the access levels.
For more information, see Share Quote with Buyer and Partner.
Collaboration Request Callback Execution
You can configure callbacks that execute automatically when a Collaboration Request is created or deleted. This allows your integration workflows to respond to collaboration request events in real time, enabling custom automation and seamless downstream processing without manual intervention.
Compare Line Items API for Quote Comparison
You can compare line items across multiple quotes using the Compare Line Items API. This API fetches and compares line items from the latest active carts of selected quotes, allowing you to see differences at a glance. The comparison supports standalone products, bundles with options, multiple charge types, and ramp lines.
For more information, see Cart APIs in Conga Developer Portal.
Terminate Asset from Agreement Flow
Users can now terminate assets directly from the Agreement object, enabling full asset lifecycle management within the agreement workflow. This feature centralizes asset termination actions for contracts managed through agreements.
Flow-Based Template Resolution for Cart Import/Export
You can use admin-defined templates based on the active flow for cart import and export operations. The import/export API automatically resolves and applies the correct template based on your active flow, ensuring that the right fields are used without manual template selection.
For more information, see Templates for Importing and Exporting Cart Lines.
Admin Defined Templates for Import and Export Cart Lines by Flow
Administrators can now create and manage flow-specific templates for importing and exporting cart line items from the Flow Settings ? Cart Page ? Column Settings ? Import & Export Cart Lines. Each template allows selection, sequencing, and modification of fields based on the flow’s saved display column settings. Templates are listed alphabetically each having a unique name, and the first template is shown as default in the UI, and deleting a template displays the next available template or a no-template page if none remain.
For more information, see Templates for Importing and Exporting Cart Lines.
Update Existing Cart Line Items During Import
The cart import feature now supports updating existing cart line item fields in addition to adding new items. The cart UI displays an indicator during import and surfaces errors if they occur, allowing sales representatives to review updates and additions after import completion.
For more information, see Importing Cart Lines from Worksheet.
Cart Line Item Currency Field Precision Settings
Administrators can configure display precision for cart line item currency fields at three levels: global settings, Price List Item (PLI) level, and individual field level in Display Column Properties. The Cart Grid displays currency values according to the highest-priority precision setting—PLI level, then field-level, then global—while calculations and database storage continue to use the global currency field precision. The Cart UI validates and applies only valid numeric precision values for currency fields, defaulting to standard display behavior if invalid or non-numeric values are provided. Field Precision is displayed only for Currency data type fields in Cart Line Items, and admins can enter a maximum of 16 digits in the Field Precision field.
Comparing Quotes
The Compare Quotes feature enables selection and side-by-side comparison of two to five quotes directly from the quote list view in the CPQ Web UI. Access the Compare Quotes page to review key quote details, pricing, and product configurations, with differences visually highlighted. The compare action is available as a bulk action and activates only when multiple quotes are selected, supporting efficient evaluation for sales teams.
Administrators can configure which fields are displayed by default and available for selection in the Quote details and Products tables on the Compare Quotes page using new field set settings in Global Settings ? Quotes. Define required and optional fields for both the Quote and Line Item objects, with default fields preselected for each table, such as Quote Number and Name for Quote details, and Product and Net Price for Products. This update enables precise control over field visibility during quote comparison.
For more information, see Quotes Comparison Overview and Comparing Quotes.
Display Custom Totals on Cart Grid
You can now configure the Cart grid and Summary section to display totals for specific custom fields instead of the standard out-of-the-box (OOTB) totals. To achieve this, administrators must configure the Display Custom Totals on Cart setting to display totals for specific custom fields on the Cart Grid and Summary section. Administrators can mange this setting using Update a configuration API in Config Management APIs. When the comma-separated custom field names added in this setting, the system calculates and displays only those custom totals, replacing the default out-of-the-box (OOTB) totals. If no custom fields are specified (setting is NULL), the Cart grid displays standard OOTB totals by default.
For example, if you enter Custom_Discount_Total_c, Custom_Tax_Total_c in the Display Custom Totals on Cart setting, the Cart Grid and Summary section display totals only for these two custom fields, replacing the default OOTB totals such as Net Price and List Price.
For more information, see Product Pricing.
API: Display Custom Totals on Cart Grid
You can configure custom field totals to display on the Cart Grid instead of the default out-of-the-box (OOTB) totals. A new setting, Display Custom Totals on Cart, is available in Config System Properties. When you specify one or more custom field names (comma-separated) in this setting, the Pricing and Cart engines calculate and display only the totals for those custom fields on the Cart Grid and in the Summary totals section. The OOTB totals are automatically hidden when custom totals are enabled. By default, the setting is empty and the existing OOTB totals continue to display.
For more information, see Revenue Administration APIs in Conga Developer Portal.
Admin Created Cart Views
Administrators can create public and protected cart views that are visible to users in the runtime UI, with edit access restricted based on view type and user permissions. The system prioritizes default views in the following order: private, protected, public, and system default, displaying the first available default in each category alphabetically. Users can view filter and sort parameters defined by administrators, but cannot modify them in this version.
For more information, see Cart Views.
Enhancement: Cart View Management and Access Control
Administrators can create, manage, and organise cart views for flows through an enhanced Cart Views page. The page provides a structured list of all cart views with details such as Name, Group By, Default and Access Level, along with capabilities to search, create, edit, and delete views (subject to access and default view restrictions). When creating a view, administrators can configure grouping, default settings, visibility, and column layouts, with support for organising fields into sections. Protected views offer granular access control by allowing administrators to assign specific users and roles through searchable multi-select fields. Private views remain read-only and cannot be edited or deleted, ensuring secure and controlled management of cart view configurations.
For more information, see Cart Views.
View Favorite Details on Modern UI
Administrators can now view the list of favorites and the details of a saved favorite, including Favorite Name, Scope, Active status, Filter Field*s*, custom fields, all out-of-the-box fields, associated price lists, owner, creation date, and last modified date on Modern UI. To view these details you need access to CPQ Modern UI and raise a ticket with CloudOps team to enable the feature flag.
For more information, see Viewing Favorites on Modern UI.
Wildcard Support for Numeric Dimension Fields
Administrators can leave numeric dimension fields empty in Price Rules, Waterfall Rules, and Matrices to define a wildcard, which means the condition can match any value. The system sends the wildcard as “*” in backend API requests. Header tooltips, wildcard icons, and success messages indicate wildcard usage and status.
Wildcards support only numeric and string dimensions; Boolean, Identifier, and Date Time dimensions require exact values.
Fixed Issues
The following issues are fixed in this release. If any actions are required, they will be listed in this table.
| Case Number | Conga Internal ID | Description |
|---|---|---|
| - | CPQ-110817 | Some pages display inverted colors when opened within Microsoft Dynamics. For example, the Create Agreement page shows a gray page container with white fields, and the Order Detail page can show the same issue when opened from the Proposal related list. |
Known Issues
The following unresolved issues are known to Conga at the time of this release.
| Conga Internal ID | Description |
|---|---|
| CPQ-110983 | Cost of secondary charge lines are getting overwritten by primary charge lines values. |
| CPQ-108340 | When you open a completed collaboration assignment, the More Details link may appear misaligned instead of displaying in the expected centered position. |
| CPQ-97591 | The product name header on the configuration page may stretch too far to the right at 80%, 90%, or 100% zoom, hiding the Summary section. This UI glitch appears while scrolling. |
| CPQ-95448 | The system displays AssetLineItemAttributes on the Installed Products page only after you click the expander icon for each asset, instead of showing them by default. |
| CPQ-92545 | The Auto-Inclusion constraint rule adds the product back to the cart even after it is deleted and a mass update is performed. This occurs regardless of the user’s preference to exclude the product. |
