Setting Up Conga Quote Agent
The Conga Quote Agent is a Salesforce Agentforce agent that exposes Conga CPQ quoting capabilities through conversational AI. After the agent is set up, users can review cart summaries, inspect line items and their adjustments, retrieve quote metadata, and compare quotes or favorite configurations without navigating through multiple application screens.
The agent is created from a supplied agent script rather than built by hand in Agentforce Studio. The script defines the quote agent's subagent and actions, which invoke Conga CPQ Apex actions against the product configuration and proposal objects. Admin entries in Conga CPQ control which fields and child relationships the agent reads for each supported operation, so administrators can tailor the data returned to the agent without modifying the script.
Setting up the agent involves four stages:
- Installing the Conga package and obtaining the agent script.
- Creating the agent in Agentforce Studio from the script.
- Committing and activating the agent version, then granting agent access through a permission set.
- Creating the five Conga CPQ admin entries that define the agent's data payloads.
Complete the stages in order. The agent appears on record pages only after the version is activated and the permission set grants access to it.
