New Features
The following features are new to CPQ in this release.
Salesforce Integration and Connected Apps: OAuth2 Security Enhancements
Collaborate updates its Salesforce integration by replacing the deprecated session_id parameter with the user_id as the remote_userid in managed package requests. All Salesforce-related functionalities, including dashboard rendering, settings management, and document list retrieval, continue to operate seamlessly when integrating with multiple Salesforce organizations.
Connected Apps now support the Proof Key for Code Exchange (PKCE) Extension for all OAuth 2.0 authorization code flow variations and Refresh Token Rotation (RTR). RTR issues a new refresh token for each refresh token flow and invalidates the previous token per user, enhancing OAuth2 authentication compatibility and maintaining uninterrupted API integration for both incoming and outgoing requests.
These updates address technical debt and align with current Salesforce integration standards, supporting ongoing automation initiatives and improving security for connected applications.
Turbo Engines Performance and Data Sync Enhancements
This release introduces key reliability, resilience, and performance improvements across Conga Turbo Engines and Data Sync services:
- Resilient Change Data Capture (CDC) Sync: As an administrator, you no longer experience connection drops during real-time data sync between Salesforce and Conga services. OAuth tokens now refresh automatically before expiration, and PushTopic reconnection subscriptions are handled seamlessly in the background.
- Faster Turbo Data Sync Page Performance: You can experience faster load times when accessing Turbo Data Sync Run History and configuration pages. The system now automatically archives and cleans up outdated run history records in the background using automated lifecycle management.
- Optimized Cart Stability and Performance: When managing high-volume cart operations, sales representatives and administrators experience smooth cart performance without system slowdowns or document size limit errors.
- Automated Service Health Recovery: As an administrator, you no longer need to intervene or perform manual restarts when cart services restart; the system automatically auto-recovers and reports accurate service health.
Conga Quote Agent Upgrade for Agentforce and Claude Integration
The Conga Quote Agent operates on the upgraded Agentforce framework and new Agent Builder, maintaining all core functionalities such as quote creation, cloning, updating, managing favorites, cart operations, product search, repricing, finalization, asset search, approval submission, quantity changes, asset renewal, and line item updates. The agent delivers consistent and reliable responses, validated through comprehensive end-to-end testing, and eliminates random errors. Conga Quote Agent is now upgraded to Salesforce's new Agentforce framework and Agent Builder. This upgrade enhances agent reliability and response handling while preserving full support for core quoting workflows.
- End-to-End Quoting Actions: Use natural language prompts to create, clone, update, reprice, and finalize quotes, manage cart line items, submit approvals, and process asset renewals.
- Context-Aware Quote Creation: Automatically associates quotes with the price list configured on the source Opportunity or Account record.
- Product and Catalog Search: Search and compare products, asset records, and favorites directly through conversational prompts.
- Third-Party AI Integration: Connect and execute Quote Agent actions within Claude via a dedicated Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector.
For more information, see Conga Quote Agent Administration and Conga Quote Agent.
Enhancements in Price Optimization Management (POM)
The following enhancements are introduced in this release.
- Custom Settings for Price Calculation of Price Recommendations: Price Recommendations can now be calculated and displayed as gross values (multiplied by quantity and selling term) so that the user can compare them with the Net Price of the Line Item. For bundles, the gross value will also include the options’ price recommendations. To turn this feature on, administrator will need to set SPOM Price Method to Extended. Default value is Unit, where the price recommendations will continue to be displayed as per-unit values that come from Price Optimization. For more information, see Config System Properties.
- Price Recommendations for Bundles with Zero Price: When the SPOM Price Method setting is enabled, price recommendations are not available in the Optimize Unit Price interactive scale on the cart page for bundles with a price of 0.
- New Setting: Enable SPOM Price Display in Cart: Introduces the ‘Enable SPOM Price Display in Cart’ custom setting to control the visibility of the Optimize Unit Price interactive scale in the cart. The setting is flow-based, defaults to true, and allows administrators to manage the pop-up display at the flow level. For more information, see Config System Properties.
- Admin settings: Conga CPQ now allows administrators to define custom fields at the flow level that impact Price Optimization Management (POM) recommendations. To configure this feature, navigate to Custom Code > Custom Settings and add the Apttus_Config2_CustomSPOMPricingFields_c field for the required flow. By using the Display Columns feature, sales representatives can view these fields in the user interface. Once configured, any changes made to a POM-impacting field in the Cart automatically set the line item's pricing status to Pending. When the cart is repriced, Conga CPQ automatically invokes POM to retrieve updated pricing guidance. If any POM-impacting fields have been modified, sales representatives must reprice the cart before finalising the transaction. For more information, see Config Flow.
Catalog Smart Search Integration with OpenSearch
When Smart Search is enabled, product searches and filter facets in the catalog now use the OpenSearch backend service. This update standardizes catalog search performance and filtering behavior across Salesforce Classic CPQ.
Pricing, Cart, Ramp Validation, and Contract Enhancements
- Deal Guidance Support in Smart Cart: The Smart Cart now supports Deal Guidance from Salesforce Classic Pricing, allowing deal guidance information to appear for cart line items during runtime. Relevant deal guidance details and pop-ups provide actionable insights directly in the Smart Cart. For more information, see Smart Cart.
- UOM and Frequency Conversion Rate: You can configure Unit of Measure (UOM) and Frequency conversion rates at the Product or Product Family level. Product-level rates take precedence over Product Family rates. When multiple rates exist for the same scope, the most recently created rate is applied, and cart pricing updates when the Selling UOM changes. For more information, see Configuring Unit of Measure (UOM) and Frequency Conversion Rate.
- Dynamic Dimension Names in Usage Price Tiers: The Usage Price Tiers pop-up in the Cart Grid now displays the configured Dimension names as column headers instead of generic labels. This helps sales representatives identify and enter values for each Dimension with clear context.
- Validations for Matching and Overlapping Ramp Periods: When a new admin setting “APTS_CheckMatchingRampPeriods” is enabled, Classic Pricing checks that Bundle and Option ramp periods match and displays an error when they do not. The setting is disabled by default. Classic Pricing also validates overlapping ramps when you create price ramps. The “Enable Price Ramp Overlap” setting controls whether overlapping ramps are allowed. When enabled, Classic Pricing allows overlapping ramps; when disabled, it prevents them. These validations now occur during price ramp creation instead of cart finalization.finalize the cart. For more information, see APTS_CheckMatchingRampPeriods in Admin Settings.
- Support for Creating Multiple Contracts from a Single Quote: You can now generate multiple contracts from a single quote by filtering quote line items through the Quote to Contract API. This helps you when a consolidated quote includes products for multiple customers that require separate contractual agreements. To achieve this, you must pass filter parameters (such as a customer or account identifier) along with the quote ID to the Quote to Contract API in the
Apttus_QPComplypackage (QPComplyWebServiceclass). The API creates a contract containing only the line items that match your filter. You can call the API multiple times with different filters on the same quote to create multiple linked contracts. For more information, see Creating Multiple Contracts from a Quote.
Salesforce CPQ Enhancements
This release introduces several enhancements across Cart, Favorites, Rules, and Branding in Conga CPQ for Salesforce:
- Disable Add Another for Favorites: Administrators can enable the Disable Add Another for Favorites custom setting to prevent users from adding duplicate favorite configurations to the cart.
- Export Cart to Excel: Sales users can export visible cart line items directly to an Excel (CSV) file using the Export to Excel action button on the cart page.
- Direct Navigation Links in Rule Messages: Constraint rule error, warning, and info messages now provide direct clickable links to individual products, product groups, or product families for inclusion and validation rules.
- Create Favorites Without a Quote: Users can design and save favorite configurations directly from the Favorite Configuration list view in Salesforce Lightning without creating a dummy quote.
- Configurable Product Limits in Replacement Rules: Administrators can adjust the maximum product processing limit for replacement rules (up to 1,000; default: 500) using the
APTS_MaxProductsSupportedForCRadmin setting. - Updated Conga Branding: All legacy Conga and Apttus branding is updated to the latest Conga branding standards across managed packages and Angular pages, including CPQ-Core, CPQ-Admin, Proposal Management, and Zeus applications. Branding images in documents require manual upload for existing installations, while new branding is applied automatically for new package installations.
