Enhancements
The following enhancements are new to CLM in this release.
Discovery AI Rebranded as Discovery Agent
As part of rebranding initiative, Discovery AI has been renamed to Discovery Agent. All the references to Discovery AI in the in Conga CLM user interface have been updated to reflect the new name.
Object and Property Permission Evaluation for RBAC
The system now evaluates both object-level and property-level permissions when determining user authorization for contracts. Authorization is granted only when the required permissions are configured at both levels. Administrators can configure distinct rules for admin and non-admin roles or permission groups, with property permissions enforced alongside object permissions to maintain consistent, conflict-free access control.
Configuring both object-level and property-level permissions is optional. If data security requirements require property-level control over CRUD operations, administrators can configure permissions at both levels. If property-level permissions are not configured, authorization behavior remains based solely on object-level permissions.
Enhancements to Conversations
As part of this release, Collaboration has been renamed to Conversations across the user interface, APIs, schema objects, and permissions. The View Conversation action is now labelled Manage Conversations.
Conversation experience within Contracts enables seamless collaboration across internal users, external participants, and ad hoc email recipients. Users can now create rich text posts and replies, attach multiple file types. Role-based permissions govern participant additions and removals, and only the latest message can be edited or deleted prior to receiving a reply, with all changes fully timestamped and attributed.
Email and in-app replies are automatically grouped using a unique conversation ID, preserving continuity even if subjects or participants change. Participant can refresh visibility and metadata in real time. Email notifications include direct links for internal users, and the system handles access changes, delivery failures, and deleted content. Each post is tracked as a contract-linked conversation, ensuring consistent, chronological message history across channels. For more information, see Conversations.
Opportunity Line Items Sync with Dynamics 365
Conga CLM now supports synchronizing opportunity line items from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Opportunity records to Conga contract line items using a Workato recipe. The synchronization is one-way (from Dynamics 365 to Conga CLM) and and occurs only when line items are present in the opportunity in Dynamics 365 and opportunity is associated with the contract in Conga CLM. Visibility and availability of this feature is controlled through the Contract Dynamics Integration Management toggle in CLM Feature Management UI. For more information, see Synchronizing Opportunity and Contract Line Items.
User Action-based Workflow Stage Transition for Custom Actions
Workflows are enhanced to support accountability and guided contracting in Conga CLM for custom actions too along with already support out-of-the-box actions.
Simple interactive activity is introduced to allows administrators to configure customizable actions such as If-Else logic or decision-tree pathways. Administrators can assign workflow activities to specific users, roles, or groups, ensuring clear ownership and controlled participation at each step. Assigned users receive targeted notifications, and activity ownership is visible directly on workflow chevrons for easy tracking. Administrators can add contextual notes to workflow stages or steps to guide users and reduce errors. For more information, see Use Case: Workflow with Interactive Decision Activity.
