Conga X-Author for Contracts Advanced for Salesforce 202604.2.0 Release Notes

In these release notes, you can find packages, requirements, features, enhancements, fixed issues, and known issues for the X-Author for Contracts Advanced for Salesforce 202604.2.0 release. For documentation updates, see What's New in X-Author for Contracts Advanced for Salesforce.

System Requirements and Supported Platforms

For requirements and recommendations to consider before installing the Conga product suite, see the System Requirements and Supported Platforms Matrix.

The following versions of Microsoft Word are recommended for the Mac OS and Windows operating systems. Using other versions with X-Author for Contracts Advanced may result in errors:

  • Mac OS: Version 16.104.1 (26010228)

  • Windows: Semi annual channel (v2508 ,19127.20484)

Editable Smart Fields and Content Control in Read-Only Clauses

Contract managers can now edit smart fields and apply custom content control within read-only clauses, while the clause language remains uneditable to maintain compliance. The APTS_EditableSmartCCInReadonlyClause setting determines whether smart fields in read-only clauses are editable or behave as merge fields, based on the Retain field property configuration. Read-only fields remain unaffected and always display as plain text.

For new customers:

  • If the Retain Field Property toggle is ON, the original field property (smart or read-only) will be applicable.

FALSE

  • If the Retain Field Property toggle is ON, the original field property (smart or read-only) will be applicable.

  • If the Retain Field Property toggle is OFF, the field will be a merge field.

For existing customers:

Known Issues

The following unresolved issues are known to Conga at the time of this release.

N/AThere are known issues from Microsoft Word version 6.104 (25121423) that restricts the X-Author for Contract Advanced pane attachment post "Update from CLM" action, rendering doc fields, and the compare and merge actions. Conga recommended any users experiencing these issues to upgrade to latest stable Microsoft Word version 16.104.1 (26010228).
